Agma - The Israeli Watersheds And Rivers Center
Agma is a knowledge center, established in 2021 to promote the vision of sustainable, integrated management of rivers and watersheds in Israel. It was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority, Israeli drainage authorities, the Israel Society of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, and Yad Hanadiv Foundation. Our Mission is to facilitate collaborative and synchronized work by all relevant stakeholders around rivers and watersheds, by- Consolidating, disseminating, and mainstreaming knowledge - Mapping of knowledge gaps among professional audiences - Development of practical tools and methodologies - Consulting multi-stakeholder complex processes around streams restoration and management - Supporting demonstration projects - Bringing together field practitioners and policy makers, forming multidisciplinary professional community of rivers and watersheds in Israel around the shared language of Integrated Catchment Approach.

The Echometer is a technological monitoring system that feeds on sensors and surveyors that provide an ecological feedback through a dynamic and accessible display on a smartphone, computer and large display screens. אקומטר – מעבדה אינטראקטיבית פורצת דרך לחקר הקיימות ומשבר האקלים העולם בו כולנו חיים, נמצא במשבר סביבתי עמוק שיפגע וישפיע על הדורות הבאים. הדורות הבאים הם תלמידי בתי הספר היום, שבעתיד ינהיגו את העולם. חובתנו כמחנכים להעמיק את הידע וההבנה ולהעלות את המודעות של תלמידנו למשבר הסביבתי ולעודדם ולהניעם לפעילות פרו – סביבתית. מהו אקומטר? אקומטר הינה מערכת טכנולוגית חינוכית שמטרתה העלאת המודעות והשפעה על התנהגות תלמידים וקהילות באמצעות הפיכת ההתנהגות היומיומית של צריכת משאבים - חשמל ומים, לנראית, מעניינת ומזמנת למעורבות. האקומטר הופך את הכללי והמרוחק לקרוב אל התלמידים ולשלהם. הנתונים ממחישים לתלמידים את הקשר בין המעשים שלהם לבין התוצאות. אקומטר מציג באמצעות ממשקים גרפים - דיגיטאליים מגוון נתונים לגבי צריכת המשאבים בבית הספר בזמן אמת ובהתייחסות השוואתית לעבר. אקומטר יסייע בהפחתה של צריכת המשאבים (חשמל ומים) ויביא לחסכון בעלויות. אקומטר נגיש באמצעות סמארטפון, מחשב או צגי LCD. אקומטר ישתלב בתוכניות הלימודים ויקדם מודעות סביבתית בת קיימא. אקומטר יניע לפעולה ויעצים את תחושת המסוגלות של תלמידים ותלמידות. אקומטר יזמן למידה פעילה וחווייתית שתקדם הבנה ובמיומנויות: חשיבה מערכתית, איסוף ועיבוד נתונים, אוריינות דיגיטאלית וחקר מדעי. מה אנחנו מציעים: מעטפת פדגוגית הכוללת תוכניות ומערכי שיעור וליווי והנחיה פדגוגית. התקנה והפעלה טכנית של המעבדה לחקר קיימות ומשבר האקלים. תמיכה טכנית שוטפת.
