Organisation de développement communautaire opérant autour de la réserve de biosphère de Dja, dans le sud du Cameroun, Tropical Forest and Rural Development autonomise les communautés locales grâce à des chaînes de valeur agroforestières basées sur le cacao et à la collecte de moabi, de mangues sauvages et d'autres fruits. Le groupe a planté plus de 70 arbres pour la production et dispense des formations sur les normes de qualité de la collecte afin d'obtenir des prix plus élevés pour les produits alimentaires et cosmétiques. Des accords entre les collectrices autochtones et les agences gouvernementales garantissent les droits d'accès et d'utilisation dans la réserve. La viabilité du modèle est prouvée par l'évitement de la déforestation et la réduction du braconnage dans les communautés. L'initiative se concentre sur l'inclusion économique de plusieurs groupes autochtones, dont certains poursuivent un mode de vie traditionnel semi-nomade, par l'accès à l'éducation, l'enregistrement d'entreprises communautaires et la création d'emplois pour 500 collectrices et 300 producteurs de cacao. ABOYERD is a Cameroon-based grassroot conservation organization legally registered as a Common Initiative Group (CIG) with registration number NW/GP/001/17/16274 in conformity with law No 92/006 of 14th August 1992 of the Republic of Cameroon. ABOYERD's mission is to promote the protection of wildlife and their ecosystems through scientific research, conservation awareness and community outreach for sustainable human and wildlife coexistence in priority conservation areas in Cameroon. ABOYERD currently runs three programs; 1. The Ngouroumoutou Program aimed at supporting the conservation of pangolins, their habitats and associated wildlife species in and around the Mbam et Djerem National Park 2. The Campo Ma'an Great Apes and Elephants Protection Program (CAMGAEPP) aimed at supporting the conservation of great apes and forest elephants in and around the Campo Ma'an National Park by mitigating human-wildlife conflicts and poaching 3. Field Conservation Heroes Program (FCHP) aimed at creating a new generation of wildlife conservationists in Cameroon

Cameroon Ecology's mission is to strengthen the capacities of development actors, decentralized local and regional authorities and populations in the sustainable management of natural resources, local governance and the development of the local economy. We also integrate related aspects of Gender and environmental protection into our work. Cameroon Ecology was born in on the initiative of Mrs. Ndjebet Cecile with a mandate to help communities to fight poverty through sustainable management of the environment. From a series of small initiatives, Cameroon Ecology has become an important actor for the implementation of community projects aimed at improving the living conditions of local populations. In Cameroon, a large part of the population lives in rural areas and thus depends indirectly on nature. The challenge is to improve the participation of these communities in the sustainable management of natural resources by increasing their capacities so that they contribute actively to poverty reduction. We continue to work on this challenge, which we undertook over a decade ago, because we thus believe that participating in the socio-economic development of communities can be in line with supporting the environmental development goals of Cameroon and fighting climate change.

Closed-Loop System Ventures is a social enterprise created in 2016 with the sole aim of ameliorating the waste management sector in Cameroon through waste valorization (recycling, upcycling, repurposing, reducing and rethinking). Our initial focus had been on organic waste matter which constitutes over 60% of the total amount of waste which ends up along the streets and eventually in landfills. We later expanded our scope to include other waste categories such as waste tires, waste plastic bottles and old clothing. The value derived from these different categories of waste are as follows-Waste organic matter: It is recycled into natural fertilizer which is used to promote carbon farming, Eco gardening and climate-smart agriculture. This natural fertilizer can be used as an alternative to chemical fertilizers whose excessive use is causing a lot of damage to the environment as well as to human health-Waste tires: They are upcycled into beautiful Eco-friendly furniture such as chairs, tables and ottomans-Waste plastic bottles: they are repurposed for growing seedlings. Instead of promoting the production of more seedling trays (which are generally plastic materials), we make use of the already abundant waste plastic bottles found almost everywhere within the environment to grow seedlings which are then sold to people interested in Eco gardening. As such, we are contributing to beat plastic pollution by reducing the amount of waste plastic bottles which get discarded- Old clothings: they are repursed into floor and table mats which are beautiful, affordable and eco friendly. It is a great way to reduce the amount of pollution generated from the fashion industry which happens to be the second most polluting industry in the world. We practice carbon farming thanks to the natural fertilizer we derive from waste organic matter and offer consultation services. We hope to establish show rooms across Cameroon through which our eco friendly products will be sold.

It relies on innovation using simple craft technology to ensure ecological recycling of plastic waste in environmentally friendly Boat for vulnerable fishermen in Cameroon. It is also working on the installation of a sustainable waste management system. The invention of the eco-friendly waste bin called ECOBIN is the major asset to establish the sorting of plastic waste. Environmental education is also the focal point in order to educate people and change bad environmental habits. By doing so, Madiba & Nature is also training young entrepreneurs in green business to ensure the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change.
