Ecoten Urban Comfort
Today, more than half of the world population lives in cities. This is projected to increase in the next few years. As cities get populated, more challenges arise. It has been observed that cities experience higher temperature compared to its surrounding areas. This is called the Urban Heat Island effect. We are ECOTEN, an engineering consultancy firm working on providing energy-efficient solutions for the built environment and developing mitigations strategies to reduce Urban Heat Island effect. We simulate buildings and urban designs to analyse results which are: Thermal Comfort Index, Wind Analysis, Air Temperature Distribution, Solar Radiation, Vegetation Impact, Building Material Impact etc. We also provide the following: Thermal Mapping, Solar Cadaster and other environmental studies made out of geospatial data. For complex simulations, we use code called SOLENE-microclimat. Our services are generally performed in the following manner in progressive order-3D model creation of buildings in the neighbourhood-Description of every surface with material, colour characteristic including greenery and water-Boundary conditions weather data for the period of simulation-Complex simulation combining solar and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models-Study, analyse, organise, and present the results in various graphical interpretation-Further optimisations depending on clients needs. The VTA Group specialises in optimising municipal and industrial sewage treatment plants. The complete route of the waste water is addressed with product solutions from sewage pipework to the settling tank. In this sector, VTA is a European market leader in terms of technology, as well as being well on the way to international success. VTA products are used not just in the municipal sector, but also in a wide range of different sectors, such as the paper, food, textile, drilling, disposal, and automotive industries. VTA Nanofloc®- uses tiny nanoparticles to achieve a rapid-onset effect and subsequently stable plant operation. Alongside tried-and-tested system products, VTA is constantly researching new products such as the new VTA Biocitran®, which is setting new standards in sludge dewatering. The newly developed VTA mudinator® delivers a significantly optimised dewatering result. It reduces the weight and volume of the sludge and thereby contributes to a smaller CO2 footprint. To ensure effective and long-term odour control, the specially developed H2S probe is used in the pipeline network to detect odours, whereupon they are neutralised using the VTA Calcoferrit® product. Additionally, the VTA soil tank can be used where it is needed. In addition to developing system products, the VTA Group is also continuously investing in research and development in the area of special equipment construction. VTA GSD - a patented method for sludge disintegration using ultrasound - helps to break down existing sludge more effectively, generate more sewer gas, and create less sludge requiring disposal. The VTA MicroTurbine efficiently transforms sludge gas into electricity and heat, with very small emissions of harmful substances (NOx < 10 mg, formaldehyde < 1 mg).
