The faculty was established in 1987. Presently, 4938 BA students, 2854 MA students, and 62 PhD students are studying at the faculty. The faculty is also made up of 364 members. At BA level, majors such as picture, industrial designing, photography, architecture, music, Piti g, and drama are presented. At MA level, majors such as drama literature, picture, art studies, illustration, city design, city planning, regional planning, industrial designing, directing drama, artifact preservation, architecture, and painting are available.

Pishnegah
Preview is only a glace a quick look. It is passing and with no judgement and orientation of any kind. That is an invitation for the audience to see and to search and finally to get informed which is the goal of Preview in general. With an increase in the number of centers and galleries presenting the art works, there has been an urgent need to have a series to cover all events in visual arts within a simple format for the audience in the city which is aimed to inform them of the events in art and art works. It should be mentioned that there has been considerable efforts on the part of art lovers and practitioners of the visual arts in various forms following the same goal which have been stopped or suspended for some reasons. Printing this series, which wad suggested by a group of gallery owners and with their support, has started since two years ago. And with regard to its objective which is information about the art events, it has been registered as an advertisement center shortly. During this time, l have tried the «Preview» to attract the attention of art lovers and practitiobers concerning its informing mission and to encourage and promote the manner and culture of seeing, enjoying and purchasing the works of art in different layers of society. We are asume all the efforts to collect the exhibition programs and the visual art events would have been in vain and futile if the audience were not inforned accordingly.

Dastan
Dastan Gallery features an extensive and multi-dimensional program, focusing on the full spectrum of Iranian contemporary and modern art. Dastan's program includes Dastan's Basement, Dastan+2 and Dastan:Outside. In addition to hosting exhibitions, Dastan publishes artist books as well as monographs on Iranian art, features film screenings, performance projects and other events. Dastan Gallery’s original space, Dastan’s Basement, was established in 2012 in Tehran, Iran. The Basement is dedicated to exhibiting emerging and experimental Iranian art. In October 2015, Dastan opened its first "standard" space, Dastan+2, within walking distance of the Basement to showcase works by established Iranian artists and masters. Since the opening of its primary space, Dastan’s Basement, in 2012, Dastan has continuously hosted pop-up curated exhibitions around the city of Tehran under the title Dastan:Outside, including shows at Sam Art (in Sam Center Mall), V-Gallery, and Shirin Confectionary's building. The program, aimed to extend the gallery’s program outside of its regular venues, features exhibitions that are usually site-specific and mostly involve experimental and non-traditional formats of exhibiting art. Dastan:Outside's newest temporary space, Electric Room, which was opened in June 2017 in downtown Tehran right across Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture (Azad University, Tehran), focuses on showcasing short-term experimental projects, research-based presentations, smaller-scale events, and occasional single-piece exhibits.
