THE LADY She has her portrait taken in a location of her choosing, ideally belonging to the designer she recommends. She tells us about herself and gives a mini-interview (see questions below). Sandwich Ii
Sandwich is an artist-run space that strongly benefits from its all-inclusive view on the art world. Having started by using the hidden potential of a residual space in-between two utilitarian buildings (11 sqm), Sandwich is slowly but constantly expanding and now includes Sandwich Chocolat (indoor, rusty metal, former storage unit), Sandwich Sculpture (200 sqm unclaimed outdoor space) and Sandwich Offspace (at the new Malmaison Studios, indoor, white walls). Strongly believing that any restraint is a resource for finding the ultimate solution, Sandwich converts the characteristics of the chosen spaces into constructive limits. Sandwich works as an art space since 2016 and took part in its first art fair in 2019 (LISTE Basel). Sandwich is focused on producing site-specific works by both Romanian and international artists and in the last years has been building a strong relationship with the art community in Beijing, through exchanges and mutual support. Sandwich is run by artists Alexandru Niculescu, Daniela Palimariu and Cristian Raduta and was co-founded together with Silviu Lixandru.
