Farm Shop
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Le Sherpa Farmers Market had become the social rendezvous of Kathmandu on Saturday mornings, where people connected over fresh produce and artisanal goods. Customers often asked us to extend market hours, open new locations, or offer the incredible products from our small local vendors every day. Inspired by this demand, our management team began exploring the idea of creating a Farm Shop. Then, at the end of March, everything changed. The city lockdown and social distancing regulations forced us to temporarily suspend the market, as the country faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than seeing this as a setback, we saw it as an opportunity to innovate. In response, Le Sherpa launched a virtual marketplace for local produce, maintaining our connection with customers and continuing to support our vendors through this challenging time. What started as a temporary solution quickly evolved into something much more—a thriving, multi-faceted Farm Shop that seamlessly blends the best of physical and online shopping, providing fresh, local goods to the community every day.
