Mlekarna Planika deluje na osnovi tisočletne tradicije sirarstva v Posočju. Posebnost Planike je, da odkupujemo izključno mleko od lokalnih kmetij iz Doline Soče in obrobnih predelov. Mlekarna je v lasti Kmetijske zadruge Tolmin. V Planiki ohranjamo stare recepte in z odličnostjo utrjujemo zavedanje, da je doma pridelana hrana najboljša. Vsi izdelki, razen namazov, nosijo oznako Izbrana kakovost Slovenije, kar pomeni, da se za njih zahteva višji standard kakovosti in izvaja reden nadzor kakovosti. Naši izdelki v sebi nosijo energijo neokrnjene narave, saj prihajajo iz tistega dela Slovenije, kjer je zrak poln življenjske energije, narava pa je pravljično lepa in razkošna. V poletnih mesecih se tu živina pase, pozimi pa jo rejci krmijo s kakovostno krmo. Pri proizvodnji izdelkov si prizadevamo ohraniti prvinskost brez nepotrebnih posegov v naravne procese. Posebnost naših izdelkov je, da so narejeni iz pasteriziranega nehomogeniziranega mleka, v katerem so uničeni zdravju škodljivi mikrobi, hkrati pa so ohranjene vse pomembne lastnosti surovega mleka, ki so koristne za naše zdravje. Mleku Mlekarne Planika ne dodajamo nobenih dodatkov, saj je že zaradi naštetih dejavnikov visoko kakovostno in predvsem naravno. Naše poslanstvo je omogočiti odraslim in otrokom dostop do kakovostne hrane in s tem pomembnega vira zdravja in vitalnosti.
