Sa méthode de travail artisanale est résolument européenne, ainsi, toutes les réparations en cousu goodyear sont réalisées en cousu main, afin de conserver l'intégrité de la trépointe. L’Atelier de l’Égide is a shoemaking workshop specializing in hand-stitched repair of high-end men’s footwear such as John Lobb, Edward Green, Kiton, Santoni, and Bettanin & Venturi, as well as women’s brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton, and C. Louboutin. The workshop is led by Laurent Halimi, originally from France, where he completed formal Cordonnier-Bottier training before settling in Montréal, Canada. His working method is distinctly European, and all Goodyear-welt repairs are performed entirely by hand in order to preserve the integrity of the welt.
