The installed Combined Cycle Power Plant (Gas Turbine of General Electric, USA & Steam Turbine of Fuji, Japan) has a gross output of 185 MW. It employs modern technology, compliant with contemporary international as well as environment-friendly standards. It functions on the low BTU gas, supplied by Mari Petroleum Company’s Deep Well No. 6, located at 15-km from the Plant Site. The low BTU gas, which is otherwise unsuitable for domestic use, is thus optimally used and affords economical electricity production. This is the first time such low BTU gas is used for power generation in Pakistan. The production of cheap electricity by Plant is sufficient to illuminate urban homes.

Lucky Electric Power Company Limited
The Commercial Operation Date (COD) is on March 21, 2022. On July 27, 2019, the Boards of Directors of the Lucky Cement Limited (Formerly Ultimate Holding Company) and the LCL Holding Company (Formerly Holding Company) have resolved to amalgamate the LCL Holding Company into the Lucky Cement Limited. The legal formalities relating to the amalgamation have been completed on March 30, 2020 and amalgamation has taken effect from July 01, 2019. Mission: To carry on all or any of the businesses of generating, purchasing, importing, transforming, converting, distributing, supplying, exporting and dealing in electricity and all other forms of energy and products or services associated therewith and of promoting the conservation and efficient use of electricity and to perform all other acts which are necessary or incidental to the business of electricity generation, transmission, distribution and supply.
