LV Latvijas Universitātes fonds ir uzticama filantropijas organizācija, kas ar mecenātu ziedojumu palīdzību nodrošina stipendijas centīgiem studentiem, finansē pētniecības attīstību un investē LU infrastruktūrā, tā investējot Latvijas nākotnē. Dibināts 2004. gadā, taču de facto LU ar mecenātiem sadarbojas jau kopš tās dibināšanas 1919. gadā. LU fonds rūpējas par izciliem, centīgiem studentiem, atbalsta maģistrantus, doktorantus, pedagogus, zinātniekus un izcilus izglītības, zinātnes, sporta un kultūras darbiniekus, sniedz finansējumu projektiem un pētījumiem, kā arī nodrošina Latvijas Universitātes ēku būvi un rekonstrukciju- EN The University of Latvia Foundation is a trusted philanthropic organisation that, through the generosity of its donors, provides scholarships to high-achieving and motivated students, supports the advancement of research, and invests in the University of Latvia’s infrastructure—thereby investing in Latvia’s future. Established in 20054, the Foundation continues a long-standing tradition of philanthropy at the University of Latvia, which has collaborated with benefactors de facto since its founding in 1919. The University of Latvia Foundation supports outstanding and dedicated students, provides assistance to master’s and doctoral candidates, educators, and researchers, and recognises excellence in education, science, sports, and culture. The Foundation also funds projects and research initiatives and contributes to the construction and renovation of University of Latvia buildings.

Leif Mutén Society
Leif Mutén Society was founded in 1998 in Latvia and was named in honor of Leif Mutén, a former rector at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. The organization's aims are to promote higher education in Latvia and to reward financially the best performing students. Leif Mutén Society is a registered public benefit organization and it cooperates with benefactors in establishing and awarding scholarships and research support, as well as supporting various student events. The board also considers fundraising initiatives and proposals for all kinds of projects as long as they fulfill the mission of promoting education. Leif Mutén Society welcomes fund-raising suggestions for merit scholarships and funds for research and seminar/conference attendance. Initiatives that can be suspected of tax evasion or are aimed to support a certain individual without objective criteria, or not promoting education will not be considered.
