Guyana Revenue Authority Gra
Established on January 27, the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) resulted from the merger of two departments, the Inland Revenue Department and Customs and Excise Department. This change was as a result of the passing of the Revenue Authority Act, No. 13 of 1996. The GRA's first Commissioner-General (CG), Mr. Edgar Heyligar, spearheaded the formation of the Guyana Revenue Authority. The Inland Revenue Department and Customs & Excise Tax Departments were renamed Internal Revenue and Customs and Trade Administration.

Environmental Protection Agency Guyana
The Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) is a body corporate governed by a Board of Directors. It was established in 1996 by the Environmental Protection Act, Cap 20:05, Laws of Guyana, with a mandate to take such steps as are necessary to effectively manage, conserve, protect and improve the natural environment; prevent or control pollution; assess the impact of developmental activities on the environment; and ensure the sustainable use of Guyana’s natural resources. The EPA in fulfilling this mandate must be guided by the following legislation: Environmental Protection Act of 1996; Environmental Protection (Authorisations) Regulations Environmental Protection (Water Quality) Regulations Environmental Protection (Hazardous Waste Management) Regulations Environmental Protection (Noise management) Regulations Environmental Protection (Air Quality) Regulations Environmental Protection (Litter Enforcement) Regulations 2013; Environmental Protection (Expanded Polystyrene) Regulations 2015; Environmental Protection (Wildlife Management and Conservation) Regulations 2009. Mission: To promote, facilitate, and coordinate effective environmental management and protection; and the sustainable use of Guyana’s Natural Resources.

Public Procurement Commission Of Guyana
The Public Procurement Commission, whose specific purpose is articulated in Article 212W.(1) of the Constitution of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, was established in October 2016. The mission of the PPC is “To promote transparency, competition, equity, the achievement of value for money, sustainability and environmental best practices in the Public Procurement System.” The activities of the PPC which will ensure that there is a robust procurement system to govern public procurement in Guyana, include: 1.Monitoring and Reviewing the performance of procuring bodies, legislation policies and procurement procedures; 2. The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS), operating under the Ministry of Tourism Industry and Commerce is a semi-autonomous governmental organization responsible for standards and quality in Guyana. GNBS was established in March 1985, under Act No. 11 of the year 1984. It has the legal status of a statutory corporation governed by a National Standards Council (NSC), which is appointed by the Minister of Tourism Industry and Commerce. The GNBS is a revenue generating agency and is also funded by the Government of Guyana. It is the only National Standards Body in Guyana. It is also an ISO 9001:2015 certified agency. The GNBS is headed by an Executive Director and a Deputy Director.The Executive Director has responsibility of overseeing the corporate departments while the Deputy Director oversees the technical departments.
