Integrity Watch Afghanistan

The mission of Integrity Watch Afghanistan is to put corruption under the spotlight by increasing transparency, integrity and accountability in Afghanistan through the provision of policy-oriented research, development of training tools and the facilitation of policy dialogue. IWA’s Research Unit undertakes research and advocacy on crosscutting themes. Its first objective is to develop new empirical research on corruption. Its second objective is to consolidate current knowledge on corruption, accountability, transparency and integrity. Thirdly, it aims to enhance research capacity for anti-corruption issues. Together, these objectives work to influence decision-makers, increase civil society engagement and raise public awareness of corruption issues. Integrity Watch works across Afghanistan and in the following five pillars: Community Based Monitoring, Public Service Monitoring, Extractive Industries Monitoring, Community Trial Monitoring and Budget Tracking.

Shahir Travel Agency

In late 2009, when the Embassy of India, Kabul was looking for a new outsourcing agency to function as their Visa Application center to replace the existing one, M/s. Shahir Tourist and Travel Agency won the bid and have been operating since November 2009. We have highly trained staff who are always willing to help while maintaining the dignity of the office and their personal self and due consideration to the Afghan sensitivities. As an outsource agency our endeavor is to continuously maintain highest levels of efficiency despite various local constraints, including security related ones. Any proposed threat which came to our notice through some sources, were promptly dealt with safe-guarding the life and property of the people visiting our premises. Besides, we have remained in close coordination with the Embassy of India and share the concerns to quell any threat to security.

Jeugdhulp Rijnmond Gemeenschappelijke Regeling Jeugdhulp Rijnmond Grjr

Voor de inkoop van specialistische jeugdhulp werken de gemeenten in de regio Rijnmond samen in een regeling, de gemeenschappelijke regeling jeugdhulp Rijnmond (GRJR). De 13 gemeenten die hieraan deelnemen zijn: Albrandswaard, Barendrecht, Capelle aan den IJssel, Goeree-Overflakkee, Krimpen aan den IJssel, Lansingerland, Maassluis, Nissewaard, Ridderkerk, Rotterdam, Schiedam, Vlaardingen en Voorne aan zee. Regionaal betreft het de volgende vormen van jeugdhulp- Pleegzorg en residentiële jeugdhulp- Specialistische dag- en specialistische ambulante jeugdhulp- Crisisdienst en -hulp- Jeugdbescherming en jeugdreclassering (JB/JR)- Veilig Thuis (advies- en meldpunt huiselijk geweld en kindermishandeling). Op basis van de Jeugdwet en de daarbij behorende Memorie van Toelichting zijn de gemeenten verplicht om samen te werken in het kader van Veilig Thuis, jeugdreclassering en jeugdbescherming op bovenlokaal niveau. De samenwerking op de overige punten is vrijwillig. Gemeenten weten niet van tevoren voor alle typen zorg óf ze nodig zijn voor kinderen uit hun gemeenten en zo ja, in welke mate het nodig is deze zorg aan te bieden. Daarom werken de gemeenten samen aan de inkoop van jeugdhulp. Elke gemeente wil een aanbod van jeugdhulp hebben dat tegemoetkomt aan de mogelijke hulpvraag. Samen met andere gemeenten kunnen zij een breder palet aan voorzieningen bieden dan als individuele gemeente. Dit bredere aanbod betekent meer keuzemogelijkheden voor de individuele burger, een betere match tussen vraag en aanbod en een effectieve en efficiënte inzet van jeugdhulp.

The Ministry has from 2002 - 2008 been unable to perform the necessary duties to meet the needs of the farming communities. The formulation of the new National Agricultural Development Framework has provided a roadmap to the provision of needed services.
