The establishment of D-8 was announced officially through the Istanbul Declaration of Summit of Heads of State/Government on June 15, 1997. The objectives of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation are to improve member states’ position in the global economy, diversify and create new opportunities in trade relations, enhance participation in decision-making at international level, and improve standards of living. D-8 is a global arrangement rather than a regional one, as the composition of its members reflects. Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8) is a forum with no adverse impact on bilateral and multi-lateral commitments of the member countries, emanating from their membership to other international or regional organizations. Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam from Nigeria is currently the Secretary General of the D-8 Organization with its Secretariat based in Istanbul-Türkiye.

The Free Zone, which is adjacent to the 1st Organized Industrial Zone on the Ankara entrance road of Kayseri, is approximately 15 km away from the Airport. It started its activities in 1998 on a flat land of District D.D.Y. 900 meters to the loading and unloading ramp, 600 meters to the international highway. Due to its distance, it is on a suitable land for all kinds of investments. The region, which has the largest Free Zone area in Turkey, is also the most suitable region for investment with a land sales price of $22.00/m². Currently, people are employed in the region. The most important facilities of the region consist of production-oriented facilities such as office furniture, sheet metal pipe and profile, electrostatic powder paint, bed-base, durable consumer goods, aluminum conductor wire facilities, white goods production factory. Infrastructures such as roads, sewers, electricity, water and natural gas are ready and in use in our region. In addition, natural gas, water and electricity expenses required by industrialists are offered at very low prices. In addition, investor producers also have income tax exemption for workers. The bureaucracy has been reduced to the lowest level by the approval of the construction license and occupancy permits required for investment in our region in a short time like a few hours. The trade volumes of the region continue to increase every year. Our region is the most intensive production weighted region in Turkey. The services in our region are offered to the investors in the cheapest way (including land ownership), and they are assisted in all kinds of bureaucratic procedures. We believe in that the investment preference in our region will not be a chance. It will be a conscious choice.

İlk, orta ve lise öğrenimini Yalova’nın henüz İstanbul ilçesi olduğu yıllarda tamamladı. Akranları doktor, hâkim, pilot olmayı hayal ederken o, “Öğretmen olacağım “diyordu ve öyle de oldu. Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Fizik –Kimya Öğretmenliği Bölümü’nü bitirdi. Fizik öğretmeni olarak çeşitli liselerde çalıştı. Lise müdürü olarak da görev yapan İnce, spora olan tutkusu neticesinde Yalova Spor Kulübü’nde yöneticilik ve Basın Sözcülüğü görevlerini de üstlendi. Çeşitli Sivil Toplum Kuruluşlarında görevler alan Muharrem İnce Yalova Atatürkçü Düşünce Derneği Yalova İl Başkanlığı görevinde de bulundu. Parlamento’ya girerek ülke sorunları ile ilgilenme zamanının geldiğini düşündüğünde henüz 38 yaşındaydı. Sömürüye, eşitsizliğe, haksızlığa karşı barıştan, sevgiden, halkın refah ve mutluluğundan yana politikalar üreten İnce Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi içinde çeşitli görevler üstlendi. Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi Genel Başkanlığına iki kez aday olma cesaretini gösteren Muharrem İnce, geniş halk kitlelerinin sevgisini kazandı. Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi’nin ‘Baskın Seçim’ kararı ile 24 Haziran 2018 tarihinde yapılan seçimlerde Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi Parlamento grubunun oy birliğiyle Cumhurbaşkanı adayı ilan edildi.
