This LinkedIn page aims to inform you on the current updates of the Department of External of Trade in Vanuatu. The vision of the Department of External Trade under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is, to increase market access for Vanuatu’s international trade through the preferential trade arrangements that encourages exports and imports which is the Ministry’s main target under the Economic Pillar of the Vanuatu National Sustainable Development Plan (VNSDP). The department works to achieve this by implementing related objectives which includes; coordination of External Trade Policy Implementation, negotiation and implementation of international trade agreements and secure Vanuatu’s trade and development needs on all levels multilaterally and regionally, Implementation of the Trade Policy Framework and LDC smooth transition strategy recommendations and facilitation of Vanuatu trade and marketing initiatives through international and national exhibitions.
