Burundi Adventist University Bau
In 1964, Kivoga College was established as a teachers’ training college by Dr. Daniel GUTEKUNST. In the fall of 2016, Kivoga College became the Burundi Adventist University (BAU). Kivoga College (16K from Bujumbura the capital of Burundi) serves as the main campus, and Jabe is a satellite campus in Bujumbura. In December 2016, Dr. Marc-Daniel GUTEKUNST was appointed to serve as the first Chancellor of the Burundi Adventist University (BAU). On July 5th, 2017, Dr. GUTEKUNST resigned from the Chancellorship. In September 2017, Dr. Willard MUNGER was appointed to serve as BAU Vice-Chancellor.

Established by the Free Methodist Church, on February 6th in Nairobi, Kenya, Hope Africa University relocated to Bujumbura in December 2003 and opened doors on February 2nd 2004.
