Fiji National University
Fiji National University is the largest university in the South Pacific. FNU enrolls over thirty thousand students from a wide range of countries, and in a wide range of academic, technical and vocational programmes. FNU operations are found at over 40 different locations across Fiji. Programmes are offered at the Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate levels through five Colleges: College of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry (CAFF); College of Business, Hospitality & Tourism Studies (CBHTS); College of Engineering, Science & Technology (CEST); College of Humanities & Education (CHE); College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences (CMNHS), and the National Training & Productivity Centre (NTPC).

Pacific Polytech
The Pacific Polytech was established between February and March 2021 by former staff of Technical Colleges of Fiji, supported by the Fiji Institute of Applied Studies and the Global Girmit Institute. The decision to establish the Polytech was taken by about 40 technical trainers and experts who met at the GGI headquarters in Saweni on 15 February 2001. Following the unanimous resolution to establish a Polytech, a Steering Committee was appointed to give form to the decision. Over the next 8 weeks, major preparatory work was done, commencing with the registration of the Polytech under the laws of Fiji on 3 March 2021. Agreements for facilities commenced with a number of facility owners, including ‘on-site-training’ facilities. The Polytech now has campuses at Tavua, Lautoka, and Nausori, and an on-site training facility in Nadi. Wo0rk to establish campuses at Nadi, Nadroga and Vanua Levu are ongoing. The Polytech will commence with offering programmes at Certificate levels I, II, & IV, and Diplomas. It plans to commence offering professional qualifications in technology, resource based industries, and related areas within 2 years. The Polytech shall also offer a large number of professional development courses.

The University of Fiji was established by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji to provide high quality, affordable higher education to the many students who had no access to other tertiary institutions.
