Faculty Of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science And Information Technology Osijek
Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology (FERIT Osijek) establishment resulted from the establishment of a study of electromechanical engineering in Osijek which dates back to the year 1979 and was initiated due to need for stronger social and economic development of the Slavonia-Baranja region. Despite of their natural and comparative advantages over other parts of Croatia, Slavonia and Baranja have been failing to meet the standards of the Republic of Croatia in terms of economy for decades. There are several reasons for such inferiority, among which there is a lack of human resources regarding electrical and computer engineers. Moreover, the development of an area is proportional to the development of a technological culture and available technological knowledge which is calculated from the number of respective engineers. We are proud of celebrating our 30th anniversary with an area of over m2 situated at 2b Trpimir Street and a new area of m2 (classrooms, labs and teachers offices) located in the new university campus (Emperor Hadrian Street), and with new laboratory and teaching equipment and 30 professors with a philosophers degree and 35 masters of both science and arts and junior researchers. Therefore, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering can actively participate in university education and realization of professional and scientific projects.

Effectus University Of Applied Sciences
EFFECTUS University of Applied Sciences was founded pursuant to the Contract of Foundation of January 17, 2008. In May 2010, upon completion of the legally required procedure, Effectus obtained its license to carry out the undergraduate professional study Finance and Law and the professional master study of Financial Management, as well as the approval for enrollment of the first generation of students. In the academic year of 2012/2013 Effectus was successfully subjected to the procedure of re-accreditation carried out by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education. According to the result of the re-accreditation procedure (an impartial assessment procedure) Effectus has mainly or completely implemented all seven mandatory quality standards. The report of the international panel and its positive recommendation to the Minister stands as clear proof that, when it comes to quality standards, Effectus is the fastest growing higher education institution in the country. This is a remarkable achievement, made within only three years after the first generation of students was enrolled. In October 2015, Effectus was awarded the ISO Certificate, the international standard for learning services in non-formal education. The scope of the standard includes providing education services in university colleges, in business and professional education, and the organization of seminars and workshops in accordance with the requirements of that standard. In addition, the standard improves the quality of the administrative system, and it is also a tool for managing processes, controls, resources, finances and risk. Only 19 institutions in Europe have the ISO Certificate. Effectus is the only school in this region that is aligned to the ISO standard. By receiving this certificate, Effectus has been ranked at the very top of educational institutions in Europe, and it has once again confirmed its own quality and excellence.
