Meded Support
At MedEd Support our vision is to increase student success, persistence, retention and graduation. We aim to achieve this by supporting our students in developing the cognitive and non-cognitive skills essential for success, while taking ownership of their learning with confidence. We provide bilingual (English/Spanish) academic success sessions, exam prep (MCAT, CBSE, USMLE Step 1, NAVLE), ESL, and other language support services for medical and veterinary students and educational institutions. Our ESL instructor has taught over 1200 English classes to both adult and younger learners, and speaks English, French, Spanish and German. Our academic support instructor is a multilingual (English, Spanish and Haitian/Antillean Creole) veterinarian and medical educator, with over 13 years experience in medical education, higher education administration and leadership. She has led and taught medical education support programs that served diverse and international students, at internationally-located US medical schools. Her specialties include working with new students at orientation, working with academically at-risk, first generation and non-traditional students. She is also has expertise in Problem-Based Learning and other small-group facilitation, and training faculty for facilitating small-group sessions.
