Since its inception in the year 1904 By Mr.Piyadasa Romnachandra. Eheliyagoda Central College has been a pioneer central college in Sri lanka. While searching the History of the college we found the First name as the Kendangamuwa Boys’ School. It was a Boys College. In 1946 it was a junior School and in 1948 it became a Senior School. Year 1968 was the foremost year of the college. Because of the Name “Eheliyagoda Central college” and in 1985 The Central college has become a National College. Eheliyagoda National College will Continue the treasure house of Knowledge and give birth to a Generation of Students suitable for globe Village. Having the inheritance of a proud history of almost 107 years throughout its history, bring forth educated and intelligent children, who are beneficial to the society, bring the brightness not only to Eheliyagoda area but also to the whole Sabaragamuwa Province, the prominent school, achieving victories day by day, continue to bring forth more and more faithful citizens, the Eheliyagoda National College, and in order to achieve, the future progress and pride.

Faculty Of Computing - Sabaragamuwa University Of Sri Lanka
The Faculty of Computing (FoC) was established as the 9th Faculty of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL) by an Order made under Section 27(1) in the Gazette Extraordinary 2312/14 dated 27th December 2022. In a backdrop where computing has become an essential component in shaping the future for humanity, the efforts of SUSL to produce graduates with the perfect blend of theoretical and practical knowledge, who cater to the demands of today’s IT/BPM industry, can now be furthered with the establishment of the FoC. The total number of annual intake being 290, the Faculty comprises three academic Departments - Computing and Information Systems, Data Science, and Software Engineering - along with numerous units and committees dedicated towards producing educated and cultured individuals. The design of all the curricula align with the Association for Computing Machinery/ Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (ACM/ curriculum guidelines, enabling it to absorb the state-of-the-art in computing education and practice. The Faculty makes all attempts to adopt student-centered teaching and learning with judicious mix of conventional and modern methods and tools. With its proven capacity and collective effort, strengthened by the cooperation of all its stakeholders, the FoC is confident in continuing to grow, ensuring access to human capital and well-equipped physical infrastructure in delivering high-quality computing education.

Institute Of Technology University Of Moratuwa
The National Diploma in Technology (NDT) program is intended to generate Incorporated Engineers. It was established in 1893 at Ceylon Technical Faculty, Maradana, called a Junior Technical Officers (JTO) course. In 1960 this program transferred to the Institute of Practical Technology (IPT) at Katubedda (presently the University of Moratuwa) and to the Hardy Senior Technological Institute at Ampara. The course was held inside the Katubedda premises of University of moratuwa until it is moved to new premises of the Institute of Technology to Diyagama premises of University of Moratuwa. The Institute of Technology was established on 10th March by the Honourable Minister of Education and Higher Education primarily to conduct NDT and other similar level courses at the University of Moratuwa.

Sri Lanka College Of Technology - Maradana
Maradana College of Technology is the oldest technical college in Sri Lanka. Formally known as the Ceylon Technical College which was an institution of higher education for Technical and Scientific fields in Ceylon and a government department. It was established as the Government Technical College in 1893 at Maradana, Colombo. In 1906 with renamed as Ceylon Technical College, it was the center for study of science such as chemistry, physics, biology and all technical training and development special in the areas of civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. The Maradana Technical College Building has become a landmark of Colombo. When the Ceylon University College was established in 1921, the science section of the Ceylon Technical College was transferred to form the Department of Science, at the new University college which was affiliated to the University of London. The Technical College began preparing students for the external degrees in Engineering of the University of London since 1933 as well as for associate membership examinations of the professional institutions of civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. In 1942 the Ceylon Technical College was separated from the Education Department and was made the Ceylon Technical College Department. Several years later began courses in accountancy and commerce. Soon after in 1950 the engineering courses were transferred to the newly established Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ceylon. In 1966 the engineering technicians courses were transferred to the Institute of Practical Technology. In 1964 it was absorbed into the Department of Technical Education and Training over the next decades the several technical colleges were established around the country and the existing junior technical colleges where upgraded.
