The International Olive Council is the world’s only international intergovernmental organisation in the field of olive oil and table olives. It was set up in Madrid, Spain, in 1959, under the auspices of the United Nations. The Council is a decisive player in contributing to the sustainable and responsible development of olive growing and it serves as a world forum for discussing policymaking issues and tackling present and future challenges. It does so by: • Encouraging international technical cooperation on research and development projects, training and the transfer of technology. • Encouraging the expansion of international trade in olive oil and table olives, drawing up and updating product trade standards and improving quality. • Enhancing the environmental impact of olive growing and the olive industry. • Promoting world consumption of olive oil and table olives through innovative campaigns and action plans. • Supplying clear, accurate information and statistics on the world olive and olive oil market. • Enabling government representatives and experts to meet regularly to discuss problems and concerns and to fix priorities for IOC action. • Working in close partnership with the private sector. Its current membership includes the leading international producers and exporters of olive oil and table olives. IOC producer Members account for 98% of world olive production. El Paccto
EL PAcCTO es un programa de cooperación internacional financiado por la Unión Europea. Su principal objetivo es asistir de forma técnica a 18 países de Latinoamérica en la lucha contra el crimen organizado. Está liderado por la Fundación Internacional y para Iberoamérica de Administración y Políticas Públicas (FIIAPP-España) y Expertise France (Francia), con la ayuda de dos socios coordinadores, el Instituto Italo-Latino Americano (IILA) de Italia, y el Instituto Camôes de Portugal. Es la primera vez que un programa regional de este tipo cubre la cadena penal en su conjunto. Se trabajará en tres grandes áreas (cooperación policial, cooperación entre sistemas de justicia y sistemas penitenciarios) con cinco ejes transversales (cibercrimen, corrupción, derechos humanos, género y lavado de activos). Además, EL PAcCTO también está ligado a dos proyectos, AMERIPOL y otro gestionado por INTERPOL.

The Associaciation for the Humanitarian and Student Development (ADHUE) based at the University Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, organized the first URJCMUN in 2013, in order to provide students with knoweldge of international relations and important institutions such as the United Nations. It's main objective was to prepare students for international MUN conferences and establish an MUN tradition at the university. MUNs are a great a tool in order to increase knoweldge, develop communication and speaking skills, to meet new people and new cultures, to learn how to defend the different political positions of different countries, gain diverse perspectives on issues and prepare for a future in international relations.// La Asociación para el Desarrollo Humanitario y Estudiantil (ADHUE) organiza el Modelo de Naciones Unidas de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. En abril de 2013 se celebró la primera edición de esta simulación y, con lo que se pretende asentar una tradición dentro de nuestra Universidad y abriendo el modelo a los estudiantes de cualquier universidad que deseen participar. Los MUNs son una gran experiencia a todos los niveles. Permite conocer a fondo asuntos de interés internacional, desarrollar las capacidades negociadoras durante los comités, mejorar las habilidades de comunicación, saber cómo funciona realmente la toma de decisiones o ampliar la perspectiva sobre los temas a debatir ya que se debe defender la postura oficial del país en cuestión y no la propia del delegado.

UNANIMUN is the International Relations students and alumni association of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Founded in 2006, the association has welcomed members and participants from a wide array of schools, hosting thus an interdisciplinary environment for learning about international affairs. Since its foundation, the association has organized and participated in various activities. From weekly trainings to sending delegations to international Model UN conferences, the association has encouraged its members academic and professional excelence. Additionally, it has organized talks with experts, allowing students to access informed and professional views on important international events. More recently, UNANIMUN has promoted the creation of UABMUN, already two editions in, the yearly conference has welcomed participants from all over the world to debate the challenges of our times. In the upcoming years, the association hopes to become an academic haven for members to exchange knowledge whilst propelling their careers in the international sphere. Our newest activitiy involves the making of the Republico Journal, a student-led biannual journal that specializes on international affairs, currently with open applications.
