TILAPA provides focused advice on public international law and policy issues to states, international organisations, and multinational corporations. Our highly qualified and experienced team of advisers has expertise across a broad spectrum of public international law and policy issues. • International environmental law and climate change, including the determination of issues arising out of international treaties and conventions and where necessary the resolution of disputes in courts and tribunals. • Human rights matters including unlawful detention, torture, asylum, refugees and where application state responsibility for injuries caused to human beings or groups of people. • International trade law including the cross-border trade of goods and services, the protection of intellectual property rights and matters involving monetary sovereignty. • The economic relations between states on the one hand and between state and investors on the other, including the protection of assets, invested abroad and the resolution of disputes when they happen. • International criminal law and the representation of parties at the International Criminal Court at the Hague. • The law of the sea, including maritime zones and the permissible use of natural resources from the ocean or under the ocean such as minerals, oil and gas and fishing. • We have experience in negotiating agreements, mediating international disputes and representing our clients in international courts and arbitration tribunals where we have a considerable success rate.
