The Barbados International Business Promotion Corporation (BIBPC) was established as a statutory corporation on November 10, 2005. The corporation subsequently gained permission to trade under the new name Invest Barbados (IB). On October 1, 2006 the investment promotion agency became operational and the first employee was hired. Invest Barbados is an economic development agency of the government of Barbados. IB is responsible for attracting, winning and sustaining international investment for Barbados. The corporation is also responsible for helping to develop and manage the Barbados international business brand.

Caricom Private Sector Organization Cpso
CARICOM Heads approved the formation of the CPSO, and designated it an Associate Institution of the Community at the Fortieth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government, in Saint Lucia in July 2019. The CPSO as the private sector service organisation, will provide for the deeper involvement and more structured participation by the private sector in the CARICOM integration process. The CPSO is mandated to contribute to the full implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) MISSION To encourage and facilitate better coordination and complementarities among regional private sector entities in relation to priority policy recommendations and projects in support of the CSME. VISION CARICOM functions well as a regional Single Market and Economy providing larger and more efficient markets for the free movement of goods, services, people, capital, technology, and ideas.

Located in Warrens, St Michael, Barbados, the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) is an Inter-Governmental Organisation among the fifteen Member States of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). It is the successor to the Caribbean Common Market Standards Council (CCMSC), and supports the CARICOM mandate in the expansion of intra-regional and extra-regional trade in goods and services. CROSQ is the regional centre for promoting efficiency and competitive production in goods and services, through the process of standardization and the verification of quality. It is mandated to represent the interest of the region in international hemispheric standards work, to promote the harmonization of metrology systems and standards, and to increase the pace of development of regional standards for the sustainable production of goods and services in the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), and the enhancement of social and economic development.
