Indra Innovation & Communication
In 2012, Ne Lynn Aung and Than Htut Soe formed their start-up firm – iHub Group – that provided premium web design and development services at affordable prices in Myanmar. They provided services to SME businesses, INGOs, semi-government agencies and non-profit foundations. Later, both founders returned to the academic environment to pursue further study and paused iHub Group. Ne Lynn Aung went to Costa Rica and the Philippines to read international peace study and political science, while Than Htut Soe moved to Norway to continue higher education in computer science. In 2016, Ne Lynn Aung returned to Myanmar and he worked for a semi-governmental agency that operated in conflict prevention and peacebuilding. While working in the conflict and peace research setting in 2017, Ne Lynn Aung was tasked with developing a peace-tech system that monitors ceasefire management activities. Ne Lynn Aung re-activated the tech group to build a ceasefire monitoring system that uses robust and secure opensource technologies; and he requested Than Htut Soe to oversee the system design and development. Meanwhile, they teamed up with Kyaw Zin Soe – a new talent – to expand the ceasefire monitoring system. In late 2019, Ne Lynn Aung decided to restart the business. Unfortunately, COVID-19 in 2020 and the February 2021 coup in Myanmar delayed the planning process. But despite the political turmoil and the ongoing pandemic, Ne Lynn Aung re-activated and re-vitalized the business by pulling together more local talent and resources in late 2021, and expanded its programs and projects. In early 2022, Ne Lynn Aung renamed iHub Group, changing it to INDRA Innovation & Communication, while continuing the businesses activities.
