Established in July 1985, by the late Maurice Berry, a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Jamaica, Mayberry initially concentrated on trading shares on the Jamaica Stock Exchange. However, significant investment opportunities soon emerged in Jamaica’s fixed income market and the Company participated actively in the development of this market, especially in Government of Jamaica Treasury Bills and Local Registered Stock. Today, Mayberry is a full service financial advisory and brokerage firm specializing in: • Stock and Money Market Trading (locally and internationally) • Asset and Portfolio Management • Cambio Services • Pensions Management • Research Mayberry was among the first financial institutions appointed a Primary Dealer by the Bank of Jamaica, thereby enabling the company to become a major player in the money market. In 1997, Mayberry became a licensed Cambio facilitating the extension of the Company’s services into the foreign exchange market. Since then, Mayberry has been in the forefront of raising US dollar loan funding for the Government and for corporate entities. The Company has a client base of over and funds under management of approximately $18B. Mayberry is closely affiliated with international syndicates such as Oppenheimer & Co, Morgan Keegan, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank. The staff compliment stands at over 100 qualified professionals.
