Die Swiss Library Service Platform (SLSP) ist Dienstleisterin für Bibliotheken und betreibt mit diesen zusammen die nationale Bibliotheksplattform swisscovery, die wissenschaftliche Informationen aus aktuell 500 Bibliotheken aus der Schweiz bündelt und einfach zugänglich und leicht auffindbar macht. Im Auftrag der Bibliotheken stellt SLSP den Nutzer:innen von swisscovery kostenpflichtige Leistungen der Bibliotheken in Rechnung.

Kornhausbibliotheken Bern

Die Kornhausbibliotheken haben ihr Zentrum im Kornhaus im Herzen der Stadt Bern und spannen ihr Netz über die ganze Region. La Bibliothèque Cantonale et Universitaire - Lausanne (BCU Lausanne) est une institution publique à vocation patrimoniale, culturelle et académique. Elle déploie ses activités sur trois sites au service de la communauté universitaire lausannoise et du grand public. Par la taille de ses collections, elle est l’une des plus grandes bibliothèques publiques et universitaires de Suisse. En 1971, elle se distingue comme la première bibliothèque du pays à avoir entièrement informatisé son catalogue. En 2009, elle est la première dans le monde francophone à avoir numérisé ses ouvrages libres de droit pour y donner accès via son catalogue en ligne. La mission de la BCU Lausanne est définie dans l'article 15 de la Loi du 19 septembre 1978 sur les activités culturelles. Ainsi, la BCU acquiert la documentation intéressant la population en général, celle nécessaire à l'étude des disciplines enseignées à l'Université de Lausanne, ainsi que la production documentaire vaudoise, contribuant ainsi au rayonnement du canton de Vaud. La BCU Lausanne fournit à ses usagers le plus large accès possible aux documents et aux informations pertinents, dans les meilleurs délais et au moindre coût. L’inscription, personnelle, est ouverte à tous dès 14 ans et permet aux usagers d’emprunter des documents à domicile.

Bibliomedia Suisse est une fondation de droit public qui, sur mandat de la Confédération, œuvre pour la promotion de la lecture et le développement des bibliothèques de lecture publique. Bibliomedia met à la disposition des écoles et des bibliothèques des fonds de différents médias, afin de les assister dans leur travail de transmission. En outre, elle développe des offres dans les domaines de l’éveil au livre et de la promotion linguistique, afin qu’un maximum de personnes en Suisse puissent réaliser leurs objectifs de manière autonome. Les trois bibliocentres de Lausanne, Soleure et Biasca proposent un large fonds de livres actuels pour tous les âges, dans toutes les langues nationales et dans plusieurs langues étrangères. Bibliomedia Suisse Romande met e-bibliomedia, plateforme de livres numériques, à disposition des bibliothèques. Elle permet aux lectrices et lecteurs d’emprunter des livres numériques en français, anglais, espagnol et ukrainien, ainsi que des livres audio en se connectant au portail de leur bibliothèque. Depuis 2015, le Laboratoire des bibliothèques de Bibliomedia œuvre pour l’accès aux savoirs et aux ressources écrites pour toutes et tous. En tant qu’espace d’expérimentation, le Laboratoire accompagne concrètement le développement de la médiation culturelle dans les bibliothèques publiques au travers de projets de soutien pour les bibliothèques, projets pilotes, échanges de pratiques, formations, ateliers et événements pour différents publics.

Depuis juin 2022, au Vilebrequin, on y vient pour louer des objets (la palette est large : boule disco, tronçonneuse, fer à bricelets, et bien plus encore) de même sorte qu'on va à la ludothèque pour louer des jouets. Mais ici, on y vient également pour participer à différents cours animés par des professionnels. Et très bientôt, on y viendra pour bricoler et créer ensemble ou de manière autonome grâce à l'ouverture du FabLab. En participant et en soutenant les activités du Vilebrequin, vous contribuez à répondre à l’urgence climatique et vous participez à une économie davantage circulaire.

As a university library the Zentralbibliothek collects academic literature on all the subjects taught at the University of Zurich, with a special focus on the liberal arts and social sciences. As the Turicensia guardian it collects all publications published by Zurich-based publishing houses, all works of Zurich-based authors and all literature on Zurich itself. As city and cantonal library the ZB also offers a wide selection of popular literature – from travel guides and self-help books to biographies, crime thrillers, DVDs and sound recordings. The ZB's five Special Collections – Graphics, Manuscripts, Maps, Music and Old Prints – boast a wealth of historical and current archives, bequests, image and sound documents. As the oldest cultural institution in Zurich, the Zentralbibliothek organises regular exhibitions to present its collections and the topics on which they focus to a broader public. Un nouveau concept de bibliothèque d’objets est en train de voir le jour à Yverdon-les-Bains. La Tatouthèque est un projet social et écologique porté par le SemoNord, institution sociale qui œuvre à l’insertion professionnelle de la jeunesse. Mais qu’est-ce qu’une bibliothèque d’objet? Une bibliothèque d’objets propose des articles dont l’usage est peu courant et passablement couteux. Mais alors… que trouvera-t-on à la Tatouthèque? Potentiellement, tout objet dont vous pourriez avoir besoin pourrait se trouver dans notre assortiment. Notre bibliothèque proposera une grande variété d’articles, selon la demande des habitants de notre région. La Tatouthèque récupère des objets auprès de particuliers et d’entreprises afin de leur offrir une deuxième vie. Une bibliothèque d’objets fonctionne sur le principe du partage. Plusieurs personnes peuvent ainsi utiliser un même objet. Ce concept se veut donc plus écologique que l’achat d’un objet individuel, et plus économique pour les utilisateurs. Portée par le SemoNord, la Tatouthèque est gérée par les participants de la mesure d’insertion socioprofessionnelle de transition (MIS-T) “Transfo” et leurs encadrants. Nos participants, âgés de 15 à 25 ans peuvent ainsi développer de nouvelles compétences telles que la relation client, la gestion d’un commerce ainsi que des compétences administratives ou manuelles.

Stiftung Zur Förderung Des Schweizerischen Wirtschaftsarchivs Swa

Das SWA, eine Institution der Universität Basel, ist seit 1910 nationales Kompetenzzentrum für historische und aktuelle Wirtschaftsquellen (Firmen, Verbände, Familien, Einzelpersonen). Der Bestand umfasst über 12 Laufkilometer bzw. rund 3 Mio. digital erfasste Dokumente. Darunter befinden sich rund 1 Mio. Scans der Zeitungsausschnittssammlung der Schweizer Wirtschaft ab 1850, ein Bestand von 2.5 Mio. Dokumenten, welche bis 2012 von Hand ausgeschnitten sowie auf A4-Blätter geklebt und nun vollständig digitalisiert werden. Die Stiftung ist Schnittstelle zwischen SWA und Wirtschaft, sie hilft dem SWA bei der Beschaffung von finanziellen Mitteln und neuen Beständen. Zudem vergibt sie jährlich einen "Forschungspreis SWA".

De nombreux écrivains considèrent désormais leur visite à la Société de Lecture comme un rendez-vous à ne pas manquer. Réciproquement, le public genevois apprécie particulièrement ces rencontres avec des personnalités prestigieuses dans un cadre à la fois privé et convivial. UN LIEU CHARGÉ D’HISTOIRE Situé dans l’ancien Hôtel du Résident de France, érigé entre 1740 et 1743 pour le représentant du roi de France à Genève, la Société de Lecture a été fondée en 1818, sous l’impulsion du célèbre botaniste Augustin Pyramus de Candolle avec un groupe de savants et d’hommes de lettres, dans la tradition des sociétés littéraires du siècle des Lumières. La bibliothèque, constamment enrichie par ses fondateurs, devient la rivale de la bibliothèque de l’université. La bibliothèque propose aujourd’hui à ses membres un accès direct à plus de volumes dont plus de 7'800 ouvrages en anglais. Elle demeure aujourd’hui l’une des plus importantes de Genève.
