Nordic Marina is a network dealing with fuels and related emissions in shipping, fisheries and other maritime activities. The role of Marina is to bring together stakeholders, public or private, to join forces and facilitate the introduction of renewable fuels for ships and other green marine applications. Short term goals include kick starting projects while for the long term, we focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from ships and vessels and expanding the use of environmentally friendly fuels in the marine industry.

Köfunarþjónustan Ehf
The company Köfunarþjónustan ehf.(The Diving Service of Iceland) was formally founded 1998. Today DSI has taken over the business of three other diving companies and has accumulated decades of experience in the diving industry. We put our ambition in professional work methods. We have a wide collection of specialized equipment for all kinds of underwater projects. All our employees have been specially trained for underwater projects such as underwater pipe-laying, underwater inspections, underwater welding, underwater photography and much more. Today we do projects and work for and alongside all the major constructors in Iceland. Our customers include the various municipality like the city of Reykjavík municipality, Hafnarfjörður municipality, Istak Contractors ltd, Bjorgun ltd, Landsvirkjun, the largest electricity producer in Iceland, and ÍAV Contractors ltd. The company’s biggest project is in east Iceland where we erected avalanche barricades in 700 meters above sea level. The contract was awarded to the company in the fall of 2009 and actual work began in 2010, spring. The customer is the municipality of Fjarðarbyggð on the east coast of Iceland and it is overseen by FSR – Government Construction Contracting Agency. The project finished in September 2012. Total value of the contract is approximately 450 million IKR. Recently the company was awarded a contract in sub sea maintenance of discharge pipe in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. This project is valued at approximately 30 million ISK in total. The company took part in laying this discharge pipe with Istak Contractors ltd as a subcontractor in 2008-2009. TDS is currently also working on repairs in the Vestmannaeyjar islands harbor, a project that started in 2011 and will continue until spring of 2013. This project is valued at approximately 50 million ISK.
