FOMIPD is a professional Mental Health Institution based in Bamenda, Cameroon, seeking to address the gab created between theory and practice in some training institutions in Cameroon, where students graduate in the field of mental health, counseling but are unable to deliver same services to their community/beneficiaries. This therefore ends up creating more agony than healing to clients they attend to daily. FOMIPD makes a difference by addressing these intangible and mental health needs, through offering specialized training and services in counseling, psychotherapy, case management, psychosocial support, psychiatric services, to students. FOMIPD is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, research, and to developing leaders in the discipline of Mental Health, Grant/Proposal Writing, MEALS, Data Visualization, Research Methodology, and Child Protection. FOMIPD runs a counseling clinic that serves her community and students in the country. FOMIPD does not discriminate in any of its services in terms of race, sex, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nor promote any form of hate speech in all its actions. OBJECTIFS - Contribuer à la promotion de la santé mentale - Contribuer à l’accès aux soins de santé mentale pour toute personne nécessiteuse - Favoriser l’employabilité de la profession du psychologue et de tous les métiers en santé mentale, auprès des différentes structures publiques, privées, et de la communauté - Concevoir élaborer et mettre en œuvre des projets qui visent le développement de la santé mentale - Favoriser la recherche à travers des publications tels que les articles, les communications scientifiques, les études, les ouvrages, etc- Contribuer à la formation des professionnels de la santé, de l’éducation et du social - Développer la coopération en santé avec des partenaires nationaux et internationaux - Contribuer à la mise sur pied des conditions éthiques et juridiques dans le but de protéger les usagers et les professionnels de santé mentale - Contribuer dans mesure du possible à l’amélioration de la santé globale.
