The Uga
All of us golfers look on with envy when we watch professionals on tour. Crowds, great caddies and live leader boards – it’s the dream! Unfortunately for most of us, we just aren’t professional golfers. Enter the Unprofessional Golf Association. A company with an eye on giving all of us non-professionals a chance to experience the atmosphere of tour event with our friends and rivals. That gave us an idea. It turns out no-one wants to watch our brand of golf, leader boards turn out to be pretty expensive, the staff bag was too much for grandma’s shoulder and yelling your current score across fairways is frowned upon. So we decided to go with an app instead. At the start of 2020, the founders of the UGA, Mike Freer and Kyle Karsten planned a tour with the friends that proved to be the birth of the UGA. Wanting to be able to keep live track of the progress of the players in other groups and opposing teams was the prime concern that has since grown into what is now a full fledged scoring, stat recording and league management app that allows everyone in your golfing group to be involved in the “tour” atmosphere. Not all golfers are the same, that’s where net scoring comes in. Regardless of whether you’re going driver-wedge or driver-provisional-3 wood-5 iron-a punch out the trees-7 iron-wedge-wedge, the UGA tour app keeps you in the action and living the dream.
