Autocommerciale nasce nel settembre 1973 a seguito della cessazione dell'attività di Autogerma sulla piazza di Bologna per il trasferimento a Verona. Alcuni ex collaboratori di Autogerma, tra cui l'attuale amministratore unico Gian Paolo Patelli, fondano il nucleo dell'Autocommerciale, che all'epoca contava una ventina di dipendenti. La strategia di vendita della Fabbrica Volkswagen prevedeva esclusivamente la commercializzazione del Maggiolino. Poco dopo, inizierà anche la commercializzazione della Golf. L'azienda diventa in breve tempo un punto di riferimento per la clientela Volkswagen Audi dell'interland Bolognese. Dal luglio 1994 Autocommerciale inizia a commercializzare anche il marchio Škoda, con sede in via Giorgione e 2 saloni distaccati dalla Sede principale. Anche Škoda riuscirà, in breve tempo, a caratterizzare la dinamica commerciale della Concessionaria. Alla fine del 2001 viene inaugurata la sede esclusiva Volkswagen che diventa il nucleo operativo dell'attività Vendita Service e Ricambi. Con un occhio rivolto al futuro, ma senza dimenticare le propria storia, Autocommerciale è sicura di aver dato e di dare tuttora un contributo determinante al raggiungimento del proprio obiettivo primario: la soddisfazione del cliente.
