Play It Strange
Established in 2003, Play It Strange exists to provide pathways of creativity through songwriting - also the recording, performance and celebration of those songs. We have a number of programmes and competitions in place to achieve these goals."Young NZers find in songs the means of expression that is like no other. Their words speak to us of love, regret, joy, loss, celebration, despair, pathos, reward, rejection, perfection. You get it. And those words merged with the music they bring from empty space bring songs into our sphere for us to savour and delight in. But it’s bigger than that. Songs written by young NZers forge a communal strand, a national voice, a summation of who they are and with that, it’s clear that they are telling us who we are. Listening to the hundreds of songs that we receive at Play It Strange is like opening a window into the hearts and minds of our youth. And there is much to learn" Mike Chunn, Founder, Play it Strange.

Review Music Products
I am writing this to talk about my blog review music products. My name is Joe and I write for ReviewMusicProducts.com A music blog where I review all things music. I started this as a way to improve my writing skills while being able to write and help other people make good decisions when buying. My passion for music has led me to build up a very large amount of knowledge about most music related topics from music instruments and effects, right through to products, software and even car audio - My latest review was based on 6x9 speaker reviews and talked about my experience with my intern and how I helped him pick a great set of 6x9 speakers. I try to make my reviews interesting and entertaining as well as informative. I hate boring reviews where people simply read the product manual and rewrite it calling it a review. If you are interested in anything to do with music, check out my site because you just may learn something or find something that you like.

Festival Opera Nz
We’re not your traditional opera company. We believe that opera is for everyone in our community, and we've worked hard to make it something that Hawke's Bay can be proud of. Festival Opera was born in 2013 with an ambition to bring world class opera to our local stages. Founders Anna and Sarah had met through music (both singing in the NZ Youth Choir) becoming lifelong friends in their early twenties. The idea for Festival Opera emerged over a coffee soon after they had returned home from extended periods overseas where they had each developed their careers – Anna as an opera singer, and Sarah as a healthcare strategist. New Zealand has a special effect of making anything seem possible, and after experiencing incredible opera in Europe, the pair felt duty-bound to ensure that spine-tingling opera was accessible to the people of Hawke’s Bay. Festival Opera is driven by the unique power of music to bring people together, enabling them to share a creative experience and interpret their own lives through the performance. Opera is a mirror – it tells the everyday stories of people’s lives, somehow elevated through sublime musical lines. Gives you goose bumps doesn’t it? We believe that communities that have music in them are healthier of mind and soul, so we work hard to build the audiences of the future through our outreach programme, delivered in partnership with the Prima Volta Charitable Trust. Our huge team of volunteers is proof of the connection between giving your time for a community project and positively impacting wellbeing. At Festival Opera we’re working hard to bring the whole community on the journey with us, and we look forward to seeing you at the opera soon!
