Kset

Electrical Engineering Students' Club (Klub Studenata Elektrotehnike) is a non profit organisation of volunteers trying to make the best of their student lives, and trying to bring the best to other students' lives. For its members, KSET is considered to be an extension of the nearby Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) by allowing them to practise and study for the college, or to engage with their hobbies (tightly or loosely associated with the Faculty). For both members and others, it's a place where they can comfortably drink coffee and/or study for their exams during the day, and have the time of their lives at concerts and other events in the evening. Members of KSET are the ones who organize all the events, work during them, and clean afterwards, everything on a voluntary basis. Why do we do all that for no money at all? Because it's endlessly fun! Well, most of the time. Also, it gives us the opportunity to gain different organisational, teamwork, and leadership skills as we continually work together to carry on our annual projects and invent new ones. Members of the Club are organized into 10 divisions: Bike, Computing, Disco, Drama, Media, Mountaineer, Music, Photo, Technical, and Video. For some large projects, such as Job Fair held at the Faculty, or FER's Freshmen Party (one-day concert event held in front of the audience of several thousand, at the Faculty venue itself), the divisions group up to make such projects happen.

Croatian music record label. The Aquarius Records records label has been established in Zagreb in 1995. It has emerged from the Club Aquarius as a result of a few music enthusiasts working with a goal to start a whole new music scene in Croatia with a series of concerts and festivals. It was shortly established as one of leading records labels in Croatian discography. A careful selection of original and quality performers is the main criteria of discography development in Aquarius Records, and as proof of it they have received more than 200 Porin discography awards throughout the years. Today they are proud publishers of such performers as Oliver Dragojević, Nina Badrić, Massimo, Tedi Spalato, Tamara Obrovac, Marko Tolja, Cubismo, Ivana & Marija Husar, Šajeta, Songkillers and many other respectable musicians, that have had numerous achievements outside of Croatia also. Zagrebačka Filharmonija Zagreb Philharmonic

The Zagreb Philharmonic is an orchestra boasting a 145-year tradition of distinguished performing in Zagreb and Croatia. It has been a promoter of the art of music across Croatia as well as the country’s cultural ambassador in the world. As one of the trademarks of the city it operates in, the music institution that boasts a long and notable tradition embodies the image of Zagreb as a Central European urban center of music, art and culture. The Orchestra started performing in the year 1871 and in 1920 it got its current name. Ever since that time, it has continually brought to Croatia’s capital the best classical music. Its history has been shaped by first-class principal conductors such as Friedrich Zaun, Milan Horvat, Lovro von Matačić, Mladen Bašić, Pavle Dešpalj, Kazushi Òno, Pavel Kogan, Aleksander Rahbari and Vjekoslav Šutej. The Zagreb Philharmonic has performed in almost all European countries, in Russia, the United States of America, Mexico, Japan and Oman. It has regularly participated at Dubrovnik Summer Festival and Music Biennale Zagreb. In February 2016, Orchestra has performed at the most prestigious American music address, New York’s Carnegie Hall. Zagreb Philharmonic concerts in the New Year’s morning in Salzburg, have become an indispensable part of its concert season. The Philharmonic also boasts a rich output of sound recordings released by both Croatian and foreign (e.g. Virgin Classics, Deutsche Grammophon, Naxos) recording companies, and a large number of awards, among them the Croatian discography award Porin. Under the leadership of its new chief conductor Mo David Danzmayr and Maestro Dmitri Kitaenko, its artistic advisor, the Zagreb Philharmonic continues to pursue its successful concert activity.

Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra Dubrovački Simfonijski Orkestar

Founded in 1925, the DSO is an important part of the rich and varied cultural heritage of Croatia. Its list of concerts is very long, including tours all over Europe, in the USA and in Indonesia. In addition to the regular concerts during a year, DSO has organized in the last few years several festivals and music cycles: International Late Summer Music Festival Dubrovnik, International Opera Arias Festival „Tino Pattiera“, Autumn Music Variety, Baroque Music Cycle „Orlando Furioso“, Dubrovnik Musical Spring and Stradun Classic. In 2005, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra was awarded the «Milka Trnina» prize, which is the most prestigious musical branch award in Croatia, and in 2015, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra received a special acknowledgment for contributing repute and promotion of Dubrovnik-Neretva County in Croatia and the world.
