Harakat Afghanistan Investment Climate Program
Harakat Afghanistan Investment Climate Program is a non-profit organization working to make it easier to do business in Afghanistan. Harakat works in four areas- Public Private Partnerships: Improve services by helping government agencies partner with companies for big infrastructure projects- Investment Facilitation: Increase investor confidence by helping to put in place mechanisms to protect investor rights- Legal and Regulatory Reform: Make it easier to do business by helping to improve laws and regulations- Women’s Economic Inclusion: Help more women to join the formal workforce by removing obstacles that have held them back. In each of these areas, Harakat works closely with government, civil society and private sector partners. Harakat follows on the successes of Harakat Afghanistan Investment Climate Facility, a program funded by the UK Department of International Development (DFID) from 2009-2015. This program’s 36 projects laid the foundation for a better business environment in Afghanistan. Harakat is funded by DFID and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

The ORD ultimately aims at turning the poorest, destitute and still passive segments into active agents and owners of their development process.

Khidmat for All Cultural & Social Organization (KACSO) was initially established as a Non-Government Organization on 2003 within the registration number 1093 during the transitional administration of Afghanistan within the Ministry of Planning. After the establishment of elected Afghanistan Government, it was re-registered with the Ministry of Economic with a new registration number 350, dated 25th.Jan.2006. During several decades of continuous wars and conflicts, the social, economical and political structure of Afghanistan was fully demolished, afghan citizens were forced to immigrate, education and infrastructure systems were destroyed, women were prevented to educate, and have access to their basic rights and benefits, and certain other relevant factors backwarded Afghanistan from development processes. ¬¬ After 2001, the international community, Afghanistan government and Afghan citizens realized the gaps from different respects, and mobilized funds and managed resources to start development processes in multi-sectors. Considering the above mentioned, gaps and lacks, during this period a group of Afghan youths with the leadership of Mr. Mohammad Jawad Aslami initiated to establish a Local Non-Government organizations by the name of KACSO to support International community in terms of implementing development projects through mobilizing and managing international funds and grants, and to support the Afghanistan government in terms of its strategies and commitment to different development sectors.
