Bermuda Red Cross
The Seven Fundamental Principles Humanity The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, born of a desire to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavors, in its international and national capacity, to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, co-operation and lasting peace amongst all peoples. Impartiality It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It endeavors to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give priority to the most urgent classes of distress. Neutrality In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature. Independence The movement is independent. The National Societies, whilst auxiliaries in the humanitarian services of their governments and subject to laws of their respective countries, must always maintain their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of the Movement. Voluntary Service It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain. Unity There can only be one Red Cross or Red Crescent Society in any one country. It must be open to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory. Universality The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which all Societies have equal status and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other, is worldwide

Dementia Bermuda
Dementia Bermuda | Supporting Families, Empowering Caregivers, Raising Awareness Founded in 2012, Dementia Bermuda works to improve the quality of life for individuals affected by dementia through support, education and advocacy. Our work is twofold: to help people with dementia maintain independence and quality of life for as long as possible, and to equip family caregivers with the knowledge, tools and support they need to confidently navigate their role. Through our efforts, we aim to promote earlier diagnosis, reduce stigma and create a more informed and supportive community where no family faces dementia alone.

Bermuda Foundation
The Bermuda Community Foundation (BCF) is a grant-making organisation that raises funds for non-profits, causes and public institutions, from arts and education to health and community services that serve the Bermuda’s residents. The foundation provides donors with a simple, convenient and flexible way to make an impact—now and forever. BCF is the first of its kind in Bermuda to mobilise and funnel resources strategically, while sustaining a focus on the continuing and changing needs of the island community. BCF works directly with donors to understand their philanthropic vision and create a fund to support causes most important to them. Funds from different donors are then aggregated and managed to achieve greater returns. This makes it possible for smaller individual funds to enjoy the same economies of scale as a large foundation. DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS are ideal for donors who want to support multiple organisations and programmes throughout the year. BCF staff can help to identify programmes of interest, vet them, process grants and report back to the donor with an impact report. FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS support specific areas prioritized by the community foundation such as the arts, children and youth, the environment, the elderly, or health and human services. DESIGNATED FUNDS are given annually to specific named charitable organizations. Nonprofits can create an AGENCY FUND in the form of an endowment to support its own operations and programmes. The professionally managed fund is a valuable vehicle for donors who like to plan their giving, for example via payroll deductions that go towards a designated nonprofit. The foundation manages the endowment, enabling the nonprofit to focus fully on serving its constituents. CEDARBERRY FUNDS allow donors who are not yet able to make the minimum required commitments for donor-advised endowment funds, to build a fund over time with an initial seed investment of $2,500.
