Caring Cooks Of Jersey
At Caring Cooks, we believe every child in Jersey deserves the healthiest start in life. We’re here to make that happen through food education, nutritious school meals and community support that helps families eat well every day. From teaching children how to cook in our Let’s Get Cooking Programme, to running our Weekly Meal Service for families in need, our Food or Fuel Campaign each winter, and our Holiday Hunger Programmes where we serve free meals from our Spud Truck, everything we do comes back to one simple aim: to make good food accessible to everyone. We now work in schools across the island, helping children develop healthy habits, confidence in the kitchen and an understanding of where food comes from. Alongside that, our social enterprise Flourish Schools provides hot, balanced school meals to thousands of students every week in both primary and secondary schools. Any returns from Flourish are reinvested directly into food and nutrition education in Jersey’s primary schools. What started as a small community project has grown into an organisation supporting thousands of children and families across Jersey. Our goal remains the same: to make sure no one has to choose between eating and heating, and every child has the chance to thrive.

Enable Jersey
We are a small charity with a big vision. We want to remove the barriers that limit disabled islanders and inspire changes that create a more inclusive community – one where diversity is celebrated and everyone can contribute their unique skills and gifts. We believe that it is the attitudes and structure of our society that makes someone disabled and not their physical or mental situation. If life is set up in a way that is accessible for people with disabilities then they can be independent with choice and control over their own lives – and everyone benefits. Disability matters affect us all.
