SEND Sierra Leone is a non-governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of the Republic of Sierra Leone with a vision to contribute to a Sierra Leone where people’s rights and well- being is guaranteed. SEND Sierra Leone is part of a West African structure with a headquarters in Ghana and offices in Liberia and Sierra Leone where approaches and experiences are shared. SEND Sierra Leone is an independent structure, a local NGO registered in Sierra Leone with a local Board, which has its own project portfolio and budget separate from Ghana. SEND’s portfolio includes community development, WaSH, health, nutrition/agriculture and women’s empowerment. Intervention areas are in the districts of Kailahun, Kenema, Kono, Western Areas Urban, and Rural districts and more recently, the district of Bonthe.

Sudu Salone
Sudu is a non for profit organization in Sierra Leone. We place orphaned children ages 3-6 into loving homes with families who we train and support, whilst attending to their educational needs, physical health and socio-emotional wellbeing. “Sudu” in Fulah means “home” and this is what the organization believes in providing for the hundreds of thousands of orphans in Sierra Leone. SUDU’s Mission To provide quality homes and education to orphans, that focuses on their specific, social-emotional needs. SUDU’s Vision To provide Sierra Leone a model for quality orphan care, adoption and foster care that addresses these children’s most critical developmental and social-emotional needs. SUDU provides three layers of services including; 1) Selection of families who are trained to support the orphaned children that will be placed into their homes (2)Provision of education to orphans. Nursery/Preschool-Kindergarten with a focus on on social emotional learning (3) Within the broader community, SUDU works partner organizations who work with the children to serve as intermediary foster homes until children are fully placed in care. Global Youth Counterpart for Sustainable Development (GYC) is a youth led and youth serving Non- Profit organization localizing the United Nations SDGs and pioneering young people to take sustainable actions in Sierra Leone.
