Up Girl

The epiphany of Up Girl was developed by, Sáaliha, when she was fifteen years old. The idea was ignited from discussions with friends where she realised, that they share common issues, curiosities and the need for an avenue to express ourselves freely. After pondering on how we can help with this, I took the initiative to start working on a project that can help us as young females. Through the encouragement of my peers and mentors, she was able to breathe life into Unlimited Potential Girl (UP Girl). It is through the advice of my mentors that she was able to face and cope with issues, be it natural or social ills and Sáaliha wanted every female to be able to have access to a positive environment of encouragement and ac- countability. The mission and vision are simple, to empower young females to be exceptional citizens while boosting their self-esteem and confidence through continued support systems. This would encourage a healthy haven for direct communications without the fear of being ridiculed for their difference of opinion or background.
