Pukainis.Lv
Pukainis.lv is a country-wide database of homeless pets looking for new homes. At the moment, it is difficult to determine the exact number of animals living in shelters and on the street in Latvia. And we will try to solve this problem. That's why we created a platform where animal shelters completely for free can place information about animals, that are waiting to be adopted and potential pet owners can find a dog or a cat for adoption. Adopt - don't shop! Pukainis.lv is, first of all, about love, the opportunity to make the world better, and animals and people - happier. The project is also about courage, thanks to which a person can do miraculous things. Because each of us - both humans, cats and dogs - has one great desire - to be loved. Everyone needs a home because home is where we share love. We believe that our initiative will help you find not only a pet but also a real loving friend. Our database contains a simple search of dog and cat profiles. Each profile includes the animal's age and size, location as well as brief information about the animal. Potential owner can leave a message or contact shelter directly from the animal profile. Facts: In 2019, Pukainis.lv became an animal protection society. In 2020, Pukainis.lv was granted the status of a public benefit organization (SLO). In 2021, became a member of the Latvian Civic Alliance and a member of the Latvian Social Entrepreneurship Association. We invite supporters to participate in the project, who can provide not only financial help, but also interested people who can offer their care and energy.
