Namati
Law is supposed to be one of our most powerful tools for advancing justice. But for billions of people around the world, the law is broken. It’s an abstraction—or worse, a threat. Since 2012, Namati has advanced social and environmental justice by building a movement of people who know, use, and shape the law. We’ve grown tremendously, from a small founding group of big-hearted change-makers to a global staff of 180+ people across 12 time zones in Asia, Africa, and the Americas. The Grassroots Justice Network, which Namati convenes, has grown from 30 people in one room to the world’s largest community of justice advocates. Our members, spanning 188 countries, are building power together to make grassroots justice a reality. Namati has supported local communities to take on thousands of justice issues, directly improving the lives of over 4.1 million people since our founding. Together with communities, partners, and Network members, we’ve envisioned, and won, transformative changes across our country programs and beyond, expanding rights for over 100 million people. Namati has been featured in the New York Times, The Washington Post, the American Journal of Law and Equity, TED, The Economist, Amanpour & Co, and The Telegraph, among other outlets.

Gorongosa National Park
The Gorongosa Project: Generating prosperity and protecting biodiversity across 2 million hectares of Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Gorongosa National Park, in Mozambique, is Africa’s greatest wildlife restoration story. Restoration of the park is through a 30-year public-private partnership between the Mozambican government and the Gorongosa Restoration Project, a U.S. non-profit organization. By adopting a 21st Century conservation model of balancing the needs of wildlife and people, we are protecting and saving this beautiful wilderness, returning it to its rightful place as one of Africa’s greatest parks. We are achieving our mission by working in four core areas: Tourism: Every guest that visits Gorongosa plays a vital role in this amazing conservation effort, and in the process, creates jobs for local people and helps generate sustainable revenue for the Park. Conservation: Protecting Gorongosa's beautiful animals and landscapes helps us make sure future generations have a chance to experience this special place. Science: Studying how all the parts of Gorongosa’s complex web of life fit together enables us to make informed conservation and management decisions. Community: Providing support and assistance to farmers, educational programs, and health care, helps us improve the well-being of local communities.

African Outreach Ministries Mozambique
African Outreach Ministries (AOM), is a philanthropic and religious organization established in the United States in the 1970s. The organization was founded to assist the growing evangelical church in Southern Africa during a period marked by struggles for independence, initially in Zimbabwe, then in Zambia, and later in South Africa. In 2008, amidst the remnants of a 16-year war, AOM established its presence in Mozambique and was officially registered as Associação para o Discipulado Cristão (ADC), focusing on religious and philanthropic activities. Our primary mission is to promote and support initiatives that advance the Kingdom of God and contribute to the sustainable and comprehensive development of the communities we serve. We operate under the belief that God is concerned about all human suffering. Therefore we emphasize a holistic approach in our interventions. In Mozambique, our actions are oriented by a guideline called ECHO which stands for Education, Care, Health and Opportunities (Economic Empowerment). We are committed to addressing issues in these four key areas because we believe God also cares. We believe that the world is God's creation and that humans are made in His image. Therefore, we are convinced that God is concerned about all forms of human suffering, whether physical or spiritual. We must honor God by actively working to alleviate and combat all types of suffering. This may involve taking significant steps to address poverty and hunger, as well as undertaking smaller actions to contribute to the fight against climate change.
