Mareena is a non-profit organisation providing integration services to foreigners living in Slovakia, encouraging social interaction between foreigners and locals and bringing the topics of cultural diversity to the public. EDUCATION AND SOCIAL ORIENTATION + From assisting refugees with integration into local communities to catering to the needs of expats, we provide services helping foreigners get a grasp of the new environment, integrate into the local society and become its active part. Step-In
STEP-IN is an international medical humanitarian NGO based in Slovakia, providing aid to people affected by conflicts in Ukraine, northern Iraq and Syria. Created in January 2015, the project grew over the years and is currently employing dozens of humanitarian workers, including medical personnel and a range of support staff. We are serving both the displaced and host populations in Ukraine, Syria and Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Our biggest mission is currently in Ukraine and our services include provision of medical supplies to Ukrainian healthcare facilities, mobile medical teams operating in areas where the existing healthcare system struggles to meet the needs of displaced and host communities, as well as a mobile training team providing expert training on complex mental health issues and first aid. We take particular pride in the quality and efficiency of the services we provide. Many of our foreign personnel are volunteers. We take great care to reduce the non-medical costs of our activities to the essential minimum so that our patients benefit from the largest possible part of the funds we are entrusted with. By employing local team members specifically out of the displaced populations most affected by the war, we contribute even more to the reconstruction of lives of these suffering communities. Engaging foreign medical doctors, volunteers and other staff from countries like Slovakia, Poland, Italy, France, Czech Republic, United Kingdom or the US, to work hand in hand in the field with the local team members, contributes to the building of enduring bridges between war torn countries and the rest of the World. The Duke Of Edinburgh's International Award Slovakia
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (or the Award) is the world’s leading youth achievement award, equipping young people for life and work. It enables young people aged 14 to 24 to actively use their free time and equipping them with life skills to make a difference to themselves, their communities and the world. The programme was founded in 1956 by Prince Philip, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh together with Kurt Hahn, a German educationalist and renowned promoter of experience learning, and Lord Hunt, leader of the first successful ascent of Everest. Since then, milions young people participated in the Award in more than 140 countires. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award was introduced in Slovakia by the British International School in Bratislava in 2007 and from the end of 2014, a team of educators with strong support from business leaders is working on the opening of the National Office of the Award in Slovakia. The National Office of the Award in Slovakia, with the support of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation in London, is piloting the Award at 10 organisations in Bratislava from June 2015 to June 2016. The National Office has signed an Acredited Licence on the March 31st 2016 and from April we are working on growing the Award in other regions in Slovakia from September 2016.

UNICEF bol založený po 2. svetovej vojne na pomoc deťom, ktorých životy a budúcnosť boli v ohrození. Nezáležalo na tom, z akej krajiny pochádzali. Jediné, na čom záležalo, bolo pomôcť deťom, ktoré sa ocitli v núdzi. Na čom záležalo bolo dosiahnutie výsledkov. Dnes, keď konflikty a krízy na celom svete ohrozujú a premiestňujú milióny detí a milióny detí čelia chudobe, núdzi, násiliu, vykorisťovaniu a diskriminácii, na dosiahnutí výsledkov pre deti záleží viac než kedykoľvek predtým - a ich dosiahnutie pre každé dieťa je pre UNICEF stále hnacia sila. BEST Bratislava has outreach at more than fourteen thousand students of Slovak university of technology from seven faculties: Faculty of civil engineering (SvF) Faculty of mechanical engineering (SjF) Faculty of electrical engineering and information technology (FEI) Faculty of chemical and food technology (FCHPT) Faculty of architecture (FA) Faculty of of material science and technology in Trnav (MTF) Faculty of informatics and information technologies (FIIT) BEST Bratislava organize regurarly these events: BEST Summer Course In these event, participants attend lectures given by the university's teaching staff or by experts from companies. At the end of the course students take an exam, which is designed to evaluate the participants' success. In summer 2017 we held course Small things change the world. Participants from 18 countries received basic knowledge on Nanotechnologies in microelectronics, nanoelectronics, industrial biotechnology and advanced materials. Course has been held in labs of Faculty of electrical engeneering and information technology. BEST Engineering Competition EBEC Engineering Competitions are events where teams of students use their technical, social and communicative skills to compete in categories Team Design and Case Studies. In last edition we cooperad with firms Volkswagen, Hummusoft, SOZA which also prepared tasks and studies for our participants. Training day Organised in cooperation with student organisation IAESTE Bratislava, Training day is one day nonformal educatin training happenning once a term aimed to bring soft skills to student of technology. five to seven interactive trainings are lead by proffesionals in soft skills fields. Every participant also gets certificate of attendance. During training day ninth edition which took place in april 2017, participants have opportunity to chose from six trainings: Time management and Public speaking which has been held in english, Power of communication, Influencing and communication, Conflict solving and we also bring Graphic workshop JOB Forum In cooperation with Cech strojarov we bring annualy two days lasting job fair to Faculty of mechanical engineering. Firms have opportunity to present themselfs to more than thousands students of mechanical engeneering. Students have opportunity to meet representatives of more than 25 firms and find their future employer.

The idea behind CLUBOVKA is to introduce significant figures of contemporary world architecture, design and arts – the people living their rich lives in an absolute and permanent creative storm, desire and passion. Clubovka is place freed of "ISMS", of professional criticism; it is above all about a MAN, HIS/HER dreams, about opinions, and about his/her motivation, about a thought. CLUBOVKA as an club of architects and fans of architecture and design was established in 2002 and it emerged due to a need TO MEET each other, share opinions, ideas, information, and to engage in club discussions about architecture and design. Clubovka started in Slovakia in 2002 as an informal meeting of friends of architecture and design. It is the place where you can share knowledge and ideas and meet other like-minded individuals in a relaxed yet truly stimulating atmosphere. More than 90 Clubovka events have been hosted over the years, all featuring leading European figures from the fields of architecture, design and art. We are proud to stress that in 2007 CLUBOVKA was awarded the prize of Prof. MARTIN KUSY for its continuous and successful edification and promotion of architecture. Slovensko je vo viacerých rebríčkoch na popredných miestach v zraniteľnosti voči dezinformáciám. Zdravotnícke hoaxy ohrozujú ľudské životy, poplašné správy môžu vyvolať paniku prerastenú do násilností, nenávistné manipulácie kreslia terče na príslušníkov rôznych menšín, systematické informačné operácie ničia krajinu ako celok vrátane jej inštitúcií. Napriek tomu štát boj proti hoaxom vzdal. Neprizerajme sa na zníženú obranyschopnosť našej krajiny!

The Indian Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic sets the goal of supporting the development activities of mutual Slovak-Indian relations and trade between the Republic of India and the Slovak Republic as well as technical and economic cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries and provide information and assistance to all who choose them and their shareholders. The Chamber establishes relations and mutual cooperation with the Indian Embassy in Slovakia, through joint projects and proposals, along with the Slovak Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Chambers, regional centers for the development of foreign trade, industry and art chambers and export consortia and other institutions and associations that will develop. The Chamber is dedicated to promotional activities, through which it serves useful economic information to assist the expansion of cooperation between the companies and contributed to the development of business opportunities.

Hlavnou myšlienkou ankety Learning & Development Awards je podporiť a zviditeľniť komunitu lektorov, koučov a spoločností na Slovensku, ktorí svojou prácou prispievajú k rozvoju jednotlivcov, tímov a organizácií. TENENET je občianske združenie s celoslovenskou pôsobnosťou. Vzniklo v roku 2011 v Senci, pôvodne ako chránená dielňa pomáhajúca ľuďom so zdravotným znevýhodnením a dlhodobo nezamestnaným. Počas uplynulých 12 rokov organizácia rozširovala svoju činnosť a regionálnu pôsobnosť až do dnešnej podoby. Momentálne má 19 pobočiek na západnom, strednom aj východnom Slovensku, pričom má plány na ďalšie rozširovanie. TENENET pomáha rodinám ktoré sa ocitli v ťažkých životných situáciách zapríčinených finančnými problémami, stratou zamestnania, sociálnou izoláciou, poruchami učenia, zneužívaním, užívaním návykových látok alebo poruchami duševného zdravia.
