Vanuatu Chamber Of Commerce And Industry
The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is Vanuatu’s National Private Sector organisation. Established in 1995 under the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Vanuatu Act, the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is a statutory body with a 16 member Council that represents Vanuatu’s private sector. All businesses with a valid Vanuatu business license are automatically VCCI members. Our new vision statement, a stable and prosperous economy, encouraging trade, investment and providing economic opportunities for all members of society throughout Vanuatu, is proudly borrowed from Vanuatu 2030 – The People’s Plan, the country’s National Sustainable Development Plan. It clearly indicates VCCI’s intention to become an organisation that makes a unique and significant contribution to the future of the country by representing the private sector in dialogue with Government and others, and by providing effective business development services across the country. VCCI’s mission is to: 1. Support the private sector in making a unique and significant contribution to the achievement of the National Sustainable Development Goals, by delivering services that produce value for VCCI’s membership, Government and other stakeholders; and 2. Support policies, strategies, legislation, regulations, treaties, agreements and initiatives that enable businesses to grow in ways that are sustainable, have positive impacts on the economy, society and the environment.

The Rules
What we have learned in that time is how much stories shape the world, and also how they can help change it. The Rules starts from two core insights: All power rests on the ability to harness and control language; and humans make sense of their world through stories. Narratives explain how power has come to rest in the hands of the few, rather than the many. They reveal how our struggles - from land to labour, biodiversity and even our very bodies - are part of the same global system, one that prioritises the production of capital - in other words, economic growth - over everything else, and at the expense of everything else. We call that system neoliberal capitalism. Aside from revealing it to be at the root of the crises of our civilisations, we tell stories about alternative systems emerging so that people see that they have the power to change the rules. Finally, we connect movements working in diverse ways to resist, and reimagine the world.

Regenerative Vanua
Regenerative Vanua is a Pasifika led not-for-profit organisation supporting resilient and self determined Vanuas throughout the Pacific to practice regenerative stewardship. Regenerative Vanua focuses on working within each Vanua’s inherited and traditional stewardship, custodianship and guardianship practices — aiming to restore pride in Indigenous food systems and food culture by promoting and facilitating regenerative agritourism, regenerative gastronomy, and regenerative food systems, ultimately resulting in regenerative, healthy oceans and ridge to reef landscapes. Regenerative Vanua rejects the notion of these Vanuas as destinations, and instead understands them to be communities who generously provide educational and transformational experiences where visitors are able to connect with regenerative knowledge systems in the Pacific. Regenerative Vanua has collaboratively developed the Regenerative Vanua Stewardship Agreements with its partners to ensure Vanua’s throughout the Pacific are resilient and self-reliant in the face of the global polycrisis – and focuses on protecting and promoting Indigenous Knowledge Systems to achieve this resilience. Regenerative Vanua is now working with regional partners and donors to apply these Stewardship Agreements and build the Regenerative movement through regenerative agritourism experiences and symposiums throughout the Pacific.

Youth Challenge Vanuatu
Youth Challenge Vanuatu is a local NGO working in youth leadership and livelihoods since 2001. It started as a program for Australia and Canadian youth to gain leadership and community development experience, alongside national youth. In 2003, the program prioritized the involvement of an increased cohort of Ni-Vanuatu youth participants. This gave these young Ni-Vanuatu women and men opportunities to increase their leadership skills and livelihoods opportunities through engaging in community development programs, training and internship, business mentoring and access to career support. It has also provided YCV greater insight into the challenges that young women and men in Vanuatu experience in seeking employment, becoming leaders and creating their own businesses. Today, Youth Challenge is a registered charitable non government, non religious organization, delivering programmes which seek to up-skill and empower youth in leadership, employment, education and small business development.
