In February 2021, Mwatana for Human Rights and Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) were nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. In 2018, the Baldwin Award recognized our work. Human Rights First announced awarding the 2018 Roger N. Baldwin Medal of Liberty to Mwatana. As the conflict escalated in 2015, the Foundation gradually redesigned its programs and activities to respond to the humanitarian needs of those affected by the conflict and to cope with the emerging needs of those affected by the conflict.
