Gabbro Nor As
Gabbro Nor is a well-established producer of aggregates for a wide range of applications, including roads, asphalt, railways, and concrete. Aggregate production started on the island of Tomma in Nesna Municipality in 2001. In 2014, the company merged with Helgeland Pukkverk AS in Leirfjord Municipality. The merged company retained the name Gabbro Nor and now operates two production sites: one on Tomma and one in Austvika. The company also operates mobile crushing plants and has over the years carried out numerous projects across Northern Norway. From the Tomma quarry, transport is exclusively by ship, while from Austvika approximately 90% of deliveries are shipped by sea and the remainder is collected locally by truck.
