Urvakan Festival
Founded in 2019 by a mixed group of local and international curators, Urvakan Festival quickly became one of the regional culture’s highlights. Rooted in traditions, but innovative at its core, Urvakan not only represents the new directions in constantly-evolving realms of contemporary music and arts but also provides a greater understanding of local cultural, political, social, and environmental issues.

Sundukyan National Theatre
Armenian first state theatre was established in Yerevan in 1922. During the first years of its activity the theatre succeeded in bringing together many celebrated Armenian actors, directors, writers, composers and artists from different parts of the world. Soon the theatre became the main center of Armenian theatrical life thus gaining its non-official status as Mother Theatre. In 1937 the theatre was named after Gabriel Sundukyan. In 1960 it got status of Academic theatre. During those years the theatre had impressive number of performances, including in its repertoire plays of both Armenian and world-famous playwrights, it had tours in different countries. Nowadays Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre continues its dynamic activity keeping up with the times. In 2019 a new small stage in Black Box format was built giving new opportunities for contemporary theatrical approaches. The theatre pays great attention to educational programs. In 2019, a special educational program "Class + Classics" for high school students was launched. The theatre focuses on international projects, collaborations, tours and participation in festivals. In 2023 the theatre initiated the Yerevan International Theatre Festival.

Yerevan Biennial Art Foundation
The Yerevan Biennial Art Foundation (YBAF) is committed to an all-encompassing approach to establishing a creative ecosystem. YBAF’s activity is primarily directed at local artists and is aimed to engage international audiences physically and digitally. We would like to think of ourselves as an initiative that Armenians are proud of and people of the diaspora and international audiences are curious about. Central to the role of YBAF is the implementation of formal and informal education particularly in relation to the arts and creative industries, with a strong mission to support local Armenian Artists. The Foundation has been established to develop and execute initiatives all year long. YBAF has annual programs as well as one-time projects.
