Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival D-Caf
Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF) is currently Egypt’s only international multi-disciplinary contemporary arts festival, established in Spring 2012 as an independent cultural platform and taking place each year in March/April. The aim of the festival is to showcase the many different art forms that make up the contemporary art movement worldwide and to support local and regional artistic development, both by giving local artists the opportunity to see world class art in their own country, but also by showcasing outstanding local and regional artistic productions. D-CAF also aims to engage the general public with Downtown Cairo in a new way and to contribute to its revival as a cultural hub by using both outdoor and indoor spaces across Downtown that have either never been used for cultural activities before or that have not been used for many years, thus encouraging audiences to think about both their city and about contemporary art in new and original ways. The idea is thus to present high quality, innovative works in a variety of spaces across Downtown, thus challenging and broadening the general Egyptian public’s ideas about contemporary arts, performance spaces, and community engagement.

Motionstudios.Eg
Our story started in 2011 when we decided to construct our studio. We thought that the true measure of success is not what we dream of, but what we aspire to be; a dream is nothing without action. Whether one fails or succeeds is irrelevant; all that matters is that there was motion in his life. That alone affects the world. so we decided to name our studio “ Motion”. We decided to be specialized in what we offer, to focus deep on technique and the academic learning. So we decided to divide the studio into two departments, Music & Dance, each has its own supervisor who has his own academic curriculum. We managed to lead the market in a few years and our annual recital is the best proof of who we are. We always have a message for you : “You are not learning anything new, Living is learning. If you are not learning anything new that means you are not growing as a person. Colors answer feeling in man; shapes answer thought; and motion answers will. It is never too late. Motion Team
