Tel Aviv International Theatre Festival
What are the challenges the future will bring for theatre art? What kind of artistic visions, perspectives and insights will it face? What are the subjects that the theatre of the future will present? Tel Aviv International Theatre Festival aims at exploring the future interpretation, forms and execution of theatre practices. We believe the future will bring artists and audiences a wealth of new impressions and ways to interact. There is a never-ending stream of subjects that will keep the reinvention of theatre and its practices going. Together with the festival guests and audience, we will look into the live theatre and its digital dimension, we will go on a journey of discovering new ways for audience participation and building a balance between the classical dramatic forms and the new approaches towards the performative field. Tel Aviv International Theatre Festival (TAITF) is intended to look into the so-called identity of the theatre of the future: its dramaturgy and acting styles, repertory politics and collaboration with the audience, aesthetics and rituals.
