Soetry Uganda
Soetry /sow-eh-tree/ A spokenword blend of poetry and music that draws inspiration from Ganda and Kiga performance arts of E'bitontome and K'wivuga. Soetry Uganda is intentional storytelling aimed at "comforting the disturbed and disturbing the comfortable." We've got enough people singing about pleasure and immeasurable possessions. Contrary to the norm, we are creating art that speaks of far deeper things and inspires in far greater ways. Soetry is the art of manipulating diction and melody to appeal to all human senses in one go. Art will survive, we won't. The goal is to create art that will speak even after we are gone.
