Reach4help
Reach4Help is a tech nonprofit connecting people in need with volunteers who can help. Inspired by the solidarity of grassroots volunteer organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic, we're creating a large-scale network of sustained local responses to address the needs of our communities and to foster long-term mutual aid partnerships. We saw this crisis as an opportunity to build social resilience in our communities, putting in place the safeguards that will keep us stronger and more interconnected during this current pandemic and beyond. Our goal is to provide free, easy-to-use, open-source tools to facilitate coordinated efforts on the ground at the community level, so community groups may share knowledge, resources, and volunteers to help those most vulnerable in their communities. Our interactive map (https://map.reach4help.org/) serves as a central mutual aid repository that showcases the extensive global network of community organizations that are working on the ground, providing essential services to people in need. Services may range from providing food deliveries for people who are quarantined to providing financial guidance for those navigating unemployment. People who are looking to make an impact in their community, connect with their neighbours, or looking for support for a loved one who lives elsewhere can start by exploring the resources and mutual aid groups available in their area. Now, we're working with organizations in the field such as the COVID-19 Help Hub in Canada, House of Good Deeds in NYC, India One Alliance in India and others to build a platform for supporting them with help request management, volunteer coordination and cross-organizational collaboration. If you're interested in helping out with any of our projects, feel free to reach out to info@reach4help.org! Thank you!

In early 2009, while traveling abroad, Anis Ahmed, Founder & Group CEO of MGH, came across a Bangladeshi Diplomat who asked him if he could help pay for the repatriation of Bangladeshis who had been released from Karachi Jail, having no money to return home, Bangladesh. Anis immediately reached out BMET, and with the active assistance of BMET (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bureau_of_Manpower_Employment_and_Training), 7 Bangladeshis were back home in Dhaka It all started since then. Anis Ahmed founded MGH Group as a startup in 1992 naming the company after his Father M. Ghaziul Haque. Later on, Suhana and Anis Ahmed Foundation (SAAF) was co-founded by him and his wife. Prior to founding of SAAF, their community work had been driven by the need of people communicated to both of them via relatives, office associates, newspaper stories, and friends. However, after establishment of SAAF, majority was funded by their Zakat obligations and have undertaken narrowed scope of initiatives which had greater impact on young individuals. It was all about Young Bangladeshis who comprise almost more than 50% of the current population of 180 million as of today. Suhana & Anis Ahmed Foundation undertakes initiatives which can simply help change lives, extend supportive hands to youngsters to lift barriers to their lives, and enable live life to the fullest, especially lives of young people constrained by Vision (Eyesight), accidental burns, lack of financial capabilities to pursue education, medical attention, and daily meals. The Ahmeds believe that Success is a journey, not a destination, and even if they can help the youngsters reach one stretch of the whole journey if not the whole, SAAF has served its intentions.

Lal Sobuj Foundation - লাল সবুজ ফাউন্ডেশন
A dream to make a better Bangladesh enforces to build a platform where every people can engage themselves to social work. The journey of Lal Sobuj Foundation (previously known as Social Development Organization) started with this motive. In the mid-day of 16th march, three students were having their lunch at school. Suddenly they saw a children crying because of the extreme pain of hunger. The cruelty of the nature hit them. So, they decided to do something that mitigates the poverty & suffering of the people. For making a better Bangladesh, they tried to collect a group of people who were really fascinated for the social work. Getting little response at that time, they did not lose hope. With a determined purpose, they were planning to do something for the country. In 26th march 2009, they formed a voluntary organization in Chandpur. In 2012, the organization opened its another branch in Dhaka. It was initially named as Social Development organization. But later it changed the name into Lal Sobuj Foundation. Lal Sobuj foundation is currently running their projects in two branches. • Dhaka • Chandpur Lal Sobuj Foundation is a registered non-profit organization at the ‘Office of Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms’ under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The registration number is S-12436/2016. Lal Sobuj Foundation is run by the donation of its member. Lal Sobuj has three types of member :General, Special, Donor. One can give donation by coming directly to our office or through Bank account & bKash number. Details are given in the website. Lal Sobuj School is the running project of Lal Sobuj Foundation. The school provides free education to street children. Through this project we want to spread the light of education to the poor kids and also try to support their basic needs except shelter. Lal Sobuj Foundation aims to support the most vulnerable children who are parentless (or whose parents are in dangerous occupations), homeless, ill-fed, ill-clothed and devoid of parental care. Having no shelter, food, education, healthcare, social security and parental care they are compelled to be involved in unsafe works for their mere survival. This project helps the orphans and underprivileged children to continue their studies. In addition to getting financial assistance to pay the school fees, buy books, cloths, shoes, educational material and private tuition, in this program children are benefited from more individual attention by our project directors and project committee (Lal Sobuj Foundation members). The future plans of Lal Sobuj Foundation are to establish a primary school & vocational school for the unprivileged people. Spread the light of education among people & Engage 500 jobless people in self employment within 2022.
