Army Cadet Force
The ACF is a national, voluntary youth organisation that is sponsored by the British Army but not part of it. Typically adult volunteers volunteer for one or two evenings a week at a local detachment and attend occasional weekends. Beyond that it is up to each volunteer how much time they want to give. Help is always welcomed on the annual camps (one or two weeks during the school summer holidays) and many consider this the highlight of the ACF year.

Little Village
Little Village makes a big difference to families with babies and young children living in poverty across London. Via our network of a baby banks, we pass on great quality loved baby goods from one family to another: clothes, shoes and coats so that children are clean and dry; toys and books to support play and development; beds for a safe and cosy night’s sleep. Families either visit a Little Village hub in Camden, Tooting or Brent, or items are packed with care and delivered to their home. But it doesn’t stop there. We also connect families into a wider network of support, helping them to build and extend their own ‘village’. Thanks to the generous donations of loved items, precious time and money, in 2023 Little Village was able to support more than 8,500 children. But the demand for help still outstripped our capacity to respond week on week. Essentials are becoming unaffordable for more and more families with babies and young children, and many are facing complete destitution. Your support will mean that Little Village can help families directly with a bundle of essentials packed for their individual children’s needs: from newborn to weaning and toddling, to play and pre-school. If you’re a business and share our dream that no child in the capital grows up without essential items for daily life and would like to discuss donating some of your products or profit share to our work, please contact us at fundraising@littlevillagehq.org.

Living Streets
We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. We want to create a walking nation, free from congested roads and pollution, reducing the risk of preventable illness and social isolation and making walking the natural choice. We believe that a walking nation means progress for everyone. Our ambition is to get people of all generations to enjoy the benefits that this simple act brings and to ensure all our streets are fit for walking. For more than 90 years we’ve been a beacon for walking. In our early days our campaigning led to the UK’s first zebra crossings and speed limits. Now, our campaigns and local projects deliver real change to overcome barriers to walking and our ground breaking initiatives such as the world’s biggest Walk to School campaign encourage millions of people to walk. Progress starts here: one street, one school, one step at a time.

St John's Foundation
For 851 years, St John’s Foundation has been changing people’s lives, for good. As one of the UK’s oldest charities, we are proud to serve Bath and the surrounding area. But we’re still facing many of the same problems today as we have been throughout the centuries. It’s a dilemma that prompted us to launch our Best Start in Life initiative (formally known as the Foundation Fund) in 2020. This work focuses on making sure every child under 12 has the chance to grow up as a healthy, happy, and educated member of our community; that they have the support they need to lead fulfilling, independent lives beyond school and into older age. We are determined to narrow the primary school educational attainment gap, which is particularly acute in our area. Alongside this, we continue our long-standing work of helping older adults age well through the provision of housing and outreach services. With older adults now outnumbering younger people in our region, it’s more important than ever that we foster an age-friendly community, promoting independent living for longer. By addressing the needs of under-served young people, we believe we can change the direction of their lives, so that when they’re older, they won’t need us. Our city and the neighbourhoods around it are beautiful and age-old. However, divisions and inequalities are concealed behind the veneer of Bath stone and rural beauty. This is why we provide crucial support for those who have reached a crisis point in their lives, helping them with the most essential needs. We work to address these modern challenges, forging connections with like-minded charities and donors to boost our impact. It’s a long-term strategy, but we’re unwavering. After all, we’ve been around for 851 years.

We provide small but effective interventions to help children in crisis unlock their potential. Whether we give a bed to a child who has become used to sleeping on the floor, counselling to a young boy who has fled an abusive home with his mother or a laptop to support a teenage runaway enrolling on a graphic design course, our direct, efficient and intelligent grants are always focused on the needs of the child. Hello World
Hello World provides educational resources and Internet connectivity to isolated and vulnerable communities. We do this by building solar-powered, outdoor Internet kiosks— so that underprivileged children and adults can educate themselves, communicate with others, and have a voice in the global community. ABOUT HELLO WORLD WHAT WE DO: Hello World provides educational resources and Internet connectivity to isolated and vulnerable communities. We do this by building solar-powered, outdoor Internet kiosks— so that underprivileged children and adults can educate themselves, communicate with others, and have a voice in the global community. HOW WE DO IT: Hello World mobilises communities to build Hello Hubs, solar-powered outdoor Internet kiosks, with state-of the art technology including high quality solar panels, satellite connectivity, rugged, waterproof touch-screen screens, camera and audio equipment. Hello Hubs are designed to withstand extreme outdoor weather and are energy autonomous, which means that they can bring connectivity and education to even the most isolated communities. WHY WE DO IT: 262 million children have NO access to education. Even if we combined the entire global budget for education it wouldn't come close to reaching every child. The traditional approach to tackling the education deficit is not working. There are 69 million too few teachers to hit current education targets, that’s just targets. We need an affordable, scalable and world-class solution for ALL children, no matter where they were born. With Hello World, children can learn, and explore the world’s body of knowledge, right in the center of their community. And; we’re challenging the standard approach to development work - because we don't build Hello Hubs, we teach communities how to build them for themselves.

Merchant Taylors' Company
One of the Great Twelve Livery Companies of the City of London. The Company started as an association of artisans, ie working tailors, known as the Fraternity of St John the Baptist. This was both for trade regulation and also for a good funeral and for prayers for one’s soul in Purgatory after death. All these aspects were equally important before the Reformation. The Company’s first royal charter was in 1327, and the Company was incorporated by a further royal charter in 1408. The Company also possessed a chapel in St Paul’s Cathedral and, from 1413, almshouses in Threadneedle Street for its aged members. At this time the Company was known as the Company of Tailors and Linen-Armourers, linen armour being the padded clothes worn beneath metal armour. From humble beginnings, the Company very gradually improved its status. It acquired considerable wealth through gifts and benefactions. Many important people were admitted to the Fraternity, such as Henry V, the victor of Agincourt. Although many members remained working tailors, by the late 15th century the senior membership contained an increasing number of wealthy merchants, trading within England and also overseas. The first Mayor to be chosen from the Company was Sir John Percyvale, Master of the Company in 1489 and Mayor in 1508. There have been many others since. The Company became the Company of Merchant Taylors by a royal charter of 1503. This reflected its new status and commercial role in the business of the City of London. A few years later it also became one of the 'Great Twelve' livery companies, the senior companies in the City from which all Lord Mayors had to be chosen. Like all livery companies, the Merchant Taylors' Company is now a social and charitable organisation. The last working tailors in the Company are believed to have been at the end of the 17th century, though links with the trade have recently been revived.

School Of Hard Knocks Charity
School Of Hard Knocks'(SOHK) mission is to empower individuals to fully realise their potential. Our vision is a society in which everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. SOHK exists to support individuals who are facing inequality. We enable meaningful change in participants’ lives through: High Impact Sport School of Hard Knocks'(SOHK’s) school's programmes use high-impact sports to physicalise the challenges our participants face. SOHK enables participants to improve confidence, communication skills, commitment, self-control and the ability to work well within a team. Mentoring SOHK’s use of high-impact sports works in tandem with the application of group and one-to-one mentoring. Group sessions allow participants to gain valuable insights from both SOHK facilitators and their peers and give individuals the opportunity to understand different lived experiences. Each participant is also given one-to-one mentoring with an SOHK specialist to explore personal goals and challenges. The Power of the Team SOHK engenders an atmosphere of genuine acceptance which allows long-lasting social bonds to be formed between participants. Our programmes show participants how the individual strengthens the collective and how the collective strengthens the individual; participants are encouraged to maintain their relationships with coursemates once their time at SOHK ends. School of Hard Knocks works with 1,700 secondary school students aged 11 - 16 across the UK. The lived experiences of beneficiaries are varied, some may be homeless or living in extreme poverty, and others may be victims of exploitation or abuse - there is no defining characteristic of an SOHK participant, but all of them are living in complex and challenging circumstances. We aim to enable our participants to find purpose and meaning in their lives and to give them the tools they need to cope with their experiences.

Suffolk Community Foundation
Everyone has a role to play in helping Suffolk grow – in making this a stronger community and an even better place to live. Our role is to help you. Suffolk Community Foundation is making a lasting difference to the lives of people in Suffolk by connecting people who need help with those who are willing to give. We assist individuals, families and businesses with their local charitable giving and award grants to a range of charities and community groups that reach people in need throughout Suffolk. Our work spans every corner of the county; the grants we award supports a huge range of local projects such as relieving rural isolation for older people, creating opportunities for young people or providing vital equipment for community centres – all projects where a relatively small amount of money can make a big difference. People who want to give to the communities they live and work in often find it difficult to know where to direct their donations effectively. That’s where we can help. Being a local team, we have the experience and knowledge of local needs and so can help donors target their giving precisely to the problems they want to solve. By taking a targeted approach, you can really see the lasting difference your generosity makes. We see charitable gifts as investments in the future of Suffolk. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Foundation has awarded over £9 million to more than charitable organisations across Suffolk over the past nine years. We currently manage over 60 charitable funds, totalling over £7.5 million in endowed assets. As a member of UK Community Foundations (which represents 48 independent community foundations operating across the UK) we are collectively one of the fastest growing UK-wide funders of local charities and voluntary organisations. We know your local community is important to you. Let’s make it better together.

The Little Princess Trust
The Little Princess Trust is a charity based in Hereford, supplying real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other medical conditions. Started in 2006 in memory of 5-year-old Hannah Tarplee who sadly lost her own battle with cancer the previous year, the charity helps those with cancer - up to the age of 24 - with as many wigs as necessary for the duration of their treatment and hair loss. For those aged up to 24 with hair loss due to other conditions the charity also provides free wigs when possible, to help with the associated trauma. Since its inception, the Trust has given away wigs; a number which increases every day. The charity also funds research into the provision of innovative and less aggressive and less toxic childhood cancer treatments. The Trust receives thousands of donations of good condition hair from all over the world, which are then used to make wigs. Around 14 hair donations are required to make a single wig. Although the charity can accept a minimum hair donation of 7”/17cm in length, the greatest demand is for hair that is over 12”/30cm which will naturally make much longer wigs. From receiving hair donations at our office, through to fitting and styling a bespoke wig, it costs the charity from £550 to provide a real-hair wig free-of-charge, to our wig recipients. We currently supply over 150 wigs every month. The Little Princess Trust needs financial donations as well as hair donations, in order to fund the actual manufacturing of the wigs and wig-fitting service.

Each year there are strokes in the UK; 1 in 4 of these occur in somebody of working age or younger. Different Strokes is a stroke charity run by younger stroke survivors for younger stroke survivors. We help younger stroke survivors and their families in the UK to reclaim their lives through active peer support. We recognise that our community of younger stroke survivors and family members are the experts in stroke recovery and rehabilitation with first-hand knowledge of the issues and challenges facing families after a stroke.
