Flamboyan Foundation
Many challenges surround efforts to improve outcomes for kids: systemic inequity, poverty, and scarce resources. In the face of such daunting barriers, it is difficult to find what works, let alone to influence wider change. Flamboyan believes that ultimately, people solve problems. To solve complex societal challenges, they need strategic support and impact-driven best practices and tools. At Flamboyan, we work at the intersection of education, government, strategic philanthropy and the non-profit sector, equipping leaders, teachers and community members to improve educational outcomes for kids through catalytic, results-driven collaboration. In D.C, we help educators transform student learning through partnership with families. Teachers report that family engagement work helps them feel more supported in the classroom and that students are more motivated to learn. Principals who work with us say that family engagement has improved their student achievement. For parents, Flamboyan's family engagement efforts create a renewed sense of hope and clarity on how to most effectively support their child's learning. In Puerto Rico, we are a leading foundation, paving the way for innovation in our sector and partnering with committed people in government, foundations, nonprofits, and schools. Collaboratively, we have overcome barriers to increase strategic, results-driven philanthropy and published critical research addressing deeply entrenched problems in our public schools. Moving forward, we will focus on identifying, replicating, and celebrating great teaching practices that impact student outcomes. The work of Flamboyan starts with people, listening and learning from parents, teachers, practitioners, and researchers. We refine, synthesize, and iterate upon their insights to create practical and effective trainings and tools and advocate for policies and system changes that help people help children succeed.

Mcs Foundation
MCS Foundation is a 501(c)3 and 1101-01 nonprofit organization created to improve the lives and well-being of the communities we serve. Since 2017, MCS Foundation has focused on three pillars: health, education, and economic development. In October 2022, Hurricane Fiona hit Puerto Rico, impacting the southern and western areas of the Island the hardest. Since then, MCS Foundation's focus has changed, as we recognize that the private sector needs to play a greater role as a driver of solutions to the challenges facing our communities. For this reason, we have directed our efforts towards the needs of these groups, often establishing close alliances with other entities. Currently, our efforts are guided by the concept of health-related social needs (HRSN), which are defined as the conditions of the environment in which people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of outcomes and risks to health, functioning and quality of life. In 2017 MCS Foundation launched its first campaign involving public fundraising "Green for Puerto Rico" for Hurricane Maria recovery. This successful campaign raised which was matched by MCS Puerto Rico, and generated a total of $1.5 million for Puerto Rico's recovery. All contributions are tax deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code (IRS). In addition, contributions are tax deductible for Puerto Rico Income Tax Purposes under Section 1101.01 of the 2011 Puerto Rico Tax Code. The MCS Foundation will donate 100% percent of the funds raised to other tax exempt non-profit organizations focused on health, education or economic development, consistent with its mission. Puerto Rico Rise Up
PRRU is a national humanitarian disaster relief organization, uplifting the welfare of underserved communities in Puerto Rico by: improving access to health care, providing quality education, advocating for change where needed to restore and secure a viable future for generations to come. We believe the path to decrease inequality and enhance human engagement is to expand the scope of opportunities before and after disasters. This may sound simple, or even simplistic, but it is just the tip of an exceedingly complex approach. PRRU employees a holistic approach to promote a sustainable future. We believe we can aid and provide the necessary tools to empower Puerto Ricans through boosting the following main areas: • Education • Health and well-being • Economy and Community Growth • Resilience • Disaster Relief and Preparedness Our well-rounded approach fulfills the communities biophysical, environmental and social needs to foster evenhanded opportunities, economic growth, and human prosperity. Thus, reinforcing these values from one generation to the next, will move the Puerto Rican community towards a successful future. We emphasize protecting the community to meet their needs, rather than satisfying peoples preferences.

Fraternidad Alpha Beta Chi
