The oldest and largest political party of Bangladesh, Awami League began its journey as a mighty political expression of the thitherto suppressed hopes and aspirations of the people living on the Padma- Meghna- Jamuna delta. Zaker Party
Zaker Party is a political party in Bangladesh, founded in 1989. Zaker Party aspires to bring divine peace, enforce universal justice and equality, and foster economic and technological progression in Bangladesh. Zaker Party was officially founded on October 14, 1989, by Bishwa Wali Hazrat Shah Sufi Khwaja Baba Faridpuri (QSA) in Bishwa Zaker Manzil. Admist hundreds of thousands of people, at the break of dawn, on the Holy Night of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, Pirzada Alhaj Khwaja Mostafa Amir Faisal Mujaddedi announced the birth of Zaker Party and was also declared as the Founding Chairman of Zaker Party. Zaker Party is the symbol of divine peace, universal justice, and economic and moral welfare. The aspirations of Zaker Party are to develop liberal humanist values in accordance with essence of true Islam – beyond the conventional trends; to develop tolerance of divergent opinions, ideas and religious beliefs; to create a tolerant, peaceful, active and vibrant culture. Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh Islami Shasantantra Chhatra Andolan was established on 23 Aug 1991 and was founded by Mawlana Sayed Fazlul Karim (Late Shaykh of Charmonai). Bangladesh Students' League
On 4 January 1948, the East Pakistan Muslim Chhatra League was established by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at a meeting in Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall at the University of Dhaka. The organisation's name was later changed to the Bangladesh Chhatra League. Naeemuddin Ahmed was the first convener of BCL, while Khalek Newaz Khan was the founder general secretary of the Chhatra League. During the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, members of the Chhatra League were recruited into the Mujib Bahini (also known as the Bengal Liberation Force).

Islami Andolan Bangladesh is the real Islamic and Patriotic political Organization in Bangladesh. It's Founded by Maulana Fazlul Karim (Ex-Shayekh of Charmonai). We want to establish Islamic Rules and it's a Farz work for all Muslims. We've no connection with Awami League, BNP, Jamaat-Shibir, or any other political parties. ইসলামী আন্দোলন বাংলাদেশ প্রচলিত কোন রাজনৈতিক দল নয়। দলাদলী ইসলাম সমর্থন করে না, কারণ দলীয় রাজনীতি সংকীর্ণতা, কোন্দল ও হানাহানি সৃষ্টির নামান্তর। দলীয় রাজনীতি মুসলিম উম্মাহর সংহতি ও ঐক্যকে বিনষ্ট করে উম্মাহকে শতধাবিভক্ত করে। ইসলামী আন্দোলন বাংলাদেশ বস্তুতঃ ইসলামী আদর্শ প্রতিষ্ঠার লক্ষ্যে দল-মত নির্বিশেষে একটি সর্বজনীন ইস্যুভিত্তিক আন্দোলন। নিছক নেতা বা সরকার পরিবর্তন নয়, দেশে প্রচলিত মানবরচিত সকল অনৈসলামী নীতি এবং জাহেলী সমাজের সার্বিক পরিবর্তন সাধন করে ইসলামকে রাষ্ট্রীয়ভাবে একটি বিজয়ী আদর্শ হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠা করাই ইসলামী আন্দোলনের চূড়ান্ত লক্ষ্য। ইসলামী আন্দোলনের মূল ইস্যু হচ্ছে ইসলামী আদর্শ প্রতিষ্ঠা। সমস্যার স্থায়ী সমাধানেরর জন্য সর্বাগ্রে মূল কারণ চিহ্নি করা প্রয়োজন। আমরা মনে করি, যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত নৈতিক আদর্শ বিবর্জিত সমাজ কাঠামোর পরিবর্তন ও দুর্নীতিবাজ নেতৃত্বের অবসান ঘটিয়ে ইসলামী আদর্শ প্রতিষ্ঠা এবং সমাজের সর্বস্তরে যোগ্য, খোদাভীরু লোকের নেতৃত্ব প্রতিষ্ঠিত না হবে ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত দেশের কোন সমস্যার স্থায়ী সমাধান সম্ভব নয়। এ সত্য উপলব্ধির প্রেক্ষিতে দেশের সর্বজন শ্রদ্ধেয় ওলামায়ে কিরাম, পীর-মাশায়েখ ও দীনদার বুদ্ধিজীবীগণের নেতৃত্বে ১৯৮৭ সালের ১৩ই মার্চ জালেম শাসকগোষ্ঠী ও শোষণমূলক রাষ্ট্রব্যবস্থার অবসান ঘটিয়ে দেশকে একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ কল্যাণরাষ্ট্রে পরিণত করার লক্ষ্যে ‘ইসলামী শাসনতন্ত্র আন্দোলন’ প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। যা গত ২০ নভেম্বর’০৮ নির্বাচন কমিশন কর্তৃক ‘ইসলামী আন্দোলন বাংলাদেশ’ নামে নিবন্ধন লাভ করে। নির্বাচন কমিশন কর্তৃক ‘ইসলামী আন্দোলন বাংলাদেশ’ এর নিবন্ধন নং-০৩৪। বিস্তারিতঃ

About Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP The Bangladesh Nationalist Party is one of the major political parties of Bangladesh. It was founded on 1 September 1978 by former Bangladesh President Ziaur Rahman after the Presidential election of 1978, with a view to uniting the people with nationalist ideology of the country. Ideology: The party holds the ideology of Bangladeshi nationalism as its core concept and adopted a 19-point program which declared that "The sovereignty and independence of Bangladesh, golden fruits of the historic liberation struggle, is our sacred trust and inviolable right". The founding manifesto of the BNP claims that the people of Bangladesh want to ".see that all-out faith and confidence in the almighty Allah, democracy, nationalism and socialism of social and economic justice are reflected in all spheres of national life". BNP and its student wing was the driving force in the 1990 uprising against the autocratic Ershad rule that culminated in the fall of the regime and the restoration of democracy in Bangladesh. Begum Khaleda Zia, who served as the party's chairperson from 1983, was elected as the first woman Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Begum Khaleda Zia is the chairperson of the party, with Tarique Rahman as the senior vice-chairman and Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as the secretary-general. And since 9 February, 2018 Tarique Rahman is the acting chairman of the party.

The National Citizen Party (Bengali: জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টি), abbreviated as NCP, is the proposed name of a potential political party initiated by the Students Against Discrimination and the Jatiya Nagorik Committee. The party is set to be formed on 28 February 2025, with Nahid Islam from the Students Against Discrimination as its convener. It is expected to be the first student-led political party in the history of Bangladesh.
